Smile Thread title: "USDT TRC-20 becoming the de facto standard for crypto casino deposits

Curious if other affiliates are noticing the same shift we are. Six months ago BTC was still the first deposit method players asked about. Now almost every query we see is specifically about USDT TRC-20 — presumably because of the low fees and speed vs ERC-20.
The side effect from an affiliate perspective is that players are more interchangeable between platforms — they don't care about BTC support specifically anymore, they just want to know if a site accepts TRC-20. Makes the "crypto casino" category feel more commoditised than it used to.
Anyone else tracking this in their traffic or player feedback?

    Why TRC-20 instead of ERC-20?

TRON is more expensive that ETHEREUM to send USDT in 2026 right?
    A 13.5 TRX burn to send cost 1.50 ?

New low fees regime means its about 50c to send USDT on ETH in 2026.

And why I would trust any network with Justin Sun running it?

And if we talk about EU clients too, USDT is more or less useless ... USDC is the way to go.

USDT is by far the most widely used in terms of deposit volume across centralized and on-chain casinos, BTC is unknown as it's impossible to track these wallets for casinos, but I guess the deposit volume is quite big for BTC.

Once it comes to network, TRC-20 is the most used blockchain for deposits/withdrawals. You can see that here which is on-chain data for the last year where TRC-20 network leads the pack with a total deposit volume of 14.3B USD and 8.79M deposits: https://postimg.cc/5Y3VmNJd

Fee wise I use Kraken to exchange, keep small balances there for paying / receiving ext before moving to secured locations, but they have a program to pay ahead for fee's I think it was only $4 per month but then you get all fee's on transfers / exchange deducted.

The same for me, despite the fees and price volatility involved.

    Are you even looking?

My transfers this year on ETH were 40c to 50c ... I do this monthly.
    TRON costs a 13.5 TRX token burn which is 13.5 x 0.35 right now = $4.70

TRON is not fit for transactional purpose with a high TRX price.

I doubt he/she has and you are right, ETH transactions is cheaper than TRC-20 once we look at the TRX burn.

Btw, I had a read at the reviews on their website for thread starter, they claim f ex Stake has no KYC which is not the case: Stake introduced KYC level 2 as mandatory last year for all users or you will not be able to use the site. Just one example tho, most brands will ask for KYC anyways.

It seems to me that all the content, included the posts here are just pure AI generated without actually any knowledge or research

We have noticed something similar. Many users seem to have become far less attached to specific cryptocurrencies, caring more instead about fast deposits, low fees, and a stable balance. TRC-20 has become practically the "standard option" in many discussions, as people already have a rough idea of what the transfer cost and confirmation time will be.

Has anyone noticed a significant increase in USDT TRC20 adoption among casino players in Southeast Asia? We've been targeting Singapore, Indonesia and Cambodia with dedicated geo guides and the traffic from these markets has been growing steadily. Curious if others are seeing the same shift away from Bitcoin toward stablecoins for casino deposits.

USDT isn't a MiCA-compliant stable coin. Therefore it's not going to be the de-facto standard in EU until it gets MiCA-compliant. When it comes fees USDT TRC-20 incur higher TX fees over the USDT ERC-20. As a non-EU person, I personally prefer USDT BEP-20 due to its low fees and adoption.

Since USDC is MiCA-compliant, yes it could have the potential to become the de-facto standard, but still bitcoin is dominating.

USDT on the Tron network has extremely high fees. Sure, there are ways to avoid them, but not everyone wants to go through the hassle of freezing their funds.

That’s why, by default, it seems better to use the Ethereum network. Over time, the SOL network will likely account for an increasing share of stablecoin volume as well.

And the fact that USDT isn’t quite a stablecoin in the EU (due to regulations) actually has its advantages.

But I still agree with the previous comments that BTC is the better option.

I've mainly seen it used for larger transactions, gambling settlements between casinos/affiliates moreso than player deposits. BTC/LTC/ETH pretty popular for those.

TRC-20 still wins on familiarity imo. even when other chains get cheaper, players know the flow and just want deposits to land fast.
