Default 5dimes wants bank info for a bitcoin withdrawal

I really haven't promoted 5dimes much but I am do a payment over 1k. I sent in a request for BTC and they asked for ID. I provided that then they asked for a bank statement.

Why would they even need that when I have never deposited anything with them. The transaction is in bitcoin so they don't need the info for the deposit.

I also checked and there are a lot of posts on Reddit about 5dimes giving out/losing customers private info.

Anyone else with them have the same experience?

Some sponsors want to verify a customer's identity via KYC documents, but I've never been asked for KYC when receiving payments from US friendly sponsors paying via BTC, and why does 5dimes specifically request banking details to pay in BTC sounds strange to me. Why not just give them a bank statement from a bank account that has a couple of dollars in it, that you barely use?

Because I came across this info on reddit...I know it isn't always the most reliable source but there are some serious complaints about 5dimes getting hacked or giving out customers personal info

Anyone can and with time will leak your info. It is unavoidable. Most businesses will not do it on purpose. 5dimes is one of them for sure even when their lack of IT security is mindblowing. Even 1-2 years ago you had to send them password each time you requested something so they were asking for troubles.

I am trying to have as much privacy as possible, but when money is involved, it is impossible. I did not have major problems so far, but my biggest problems came from data leak at 5* hotel in Tokyo (I do not live only in 5* hotels and all hotels in Japan scan my passport as everyone elses). Simply that is the rule nowadays. You can opt out, but then no business.

I look at the info I provide and try to understand it there is a legitimate business reason for it. It is like the apps for on my phone. There are several that what permission to take pictures or turn the mic at anytime. I chose not to place them on my phone because there was no legitimate reason to do it.
With 5diimes. I fully understand that they need KYC for players because of bonuses and previous suspensions. But, for affiliates who never deposited a penny or received any type of bonus. I don't see a reason for any info other than a government ID at most to verify my age and nationality.

You are 100% right and that is about everything you can do.

Before you could try to argue with Tony, which was as good as useless. Now you can buy a candle, lit it and summon his ghost and try to argue with him.

In the end you either follow the rules and use a very good affiliate program or you choose your 100% truth. Situation is the same as elsewhere in the world. It is a bit less understandable for people from US, because they are from the powerful side usually even without knowing. But as East Europeans say when their wives go to the west "The more powerful dog f***s". We are not the more powerful side when it is about affiliate marketing, so we do not set the rules.

Well, I submitted a payment request again.

    The response.
They found one bad link on one of my sites (a menu to a 5dimes page I had moved)
Told me to fix that first.
    I did.
Then they turned me down again.
    Want my banking info again.

The last time I went through something like this was with sportsbook.com

My IP address is always changing and that makes the payout process pretty hard on an almost weekly basis but I have never been asked for paperwork. It is a joke that they can't just pay affiliates, like their rivals do, without all this stupid jumping through hoops. We are not players, we are affiliates. Sherlock is right they are good. econfox is right that they are a farce with their affiliate payments. They are also downright rude when they want something changed on site, refusing to pay until you do it. There are equal or better programs in their space. I will be moving 5Dimes down the order of preference on my sites until they start paying affiliates without all the delaying hassle.

They again blocked my IP address and called me at 5AM Japanese time to confirm. It is a pain in the ass, but not bigger for me than signing some stupid invoices.

I really honestly do not think there are many (US) programs that can handle and not detag whales as 5dimes do it.

5dimes even once had problem with tracking, but resolved it. They have horrible creatives, horrible frontend for both players and affiliates, they have everything horrible. But money do not lie. They pay me quite a lot of money even when I promote Bovada where it is possible, so for not top spot their results are impressive. Their quality of staff for both bookie and affiliate department is above average.

The fact that they are so totally open, that you can see all casion action, all - even open - bets, is amazing. Mybookie or topbet or even worse Cris family, really are not an alternative for 5dimes at least for me.

That hasn't always been the case.

A long time ago, the GPWA held members (its affiliates) as their #1 priority. Unfortunately, that rubbed a few powerful industry figures up the wrong way, cause it was affecting their income. So a slur campaign was started against SlyCin (the original GPWA founder) and other founding members. In the end, it caused in house-arguments, and finally destroyed everything.

Since then, affiliates have slowly, but surely, lost ALL their power, and with it, all their rights to fair treatment.

The question is here the cause and the effect.

I really think people are much worse then we perceive ourselves. The digital advocacy groups were destined to fail. I did gambler advocacy. It failed too, not exactly because I sold directly myself there (I am selling myself now by promoting **** bookies). But I can see that all/almost all consumer advocacy is not sustainable project.

I do not want to waste the rest of my life crying how it should/could have need different. The things happen, life goes on. We can have another dreams and those dreams will fail in distant future and meanwhile some other things happen and so on.

If something does not survive (over and over again) then it simply should not survive. It is a bit fascistic and Darwinistic, but hell yeah, far better then liberal bitching about the great polished world that never existed and that will never exist.

I am positive that even when future will be very dark for example problems of affiliate marketing will be resolved by itself by the blockchain technology. Everything will be written and not possible to be changed, where actors will have exactly the access to the data they have to see and commissions will be automatically delivered as smart contracts. Until then this Augeas stables will be just fuller of faeces. But affiliate marketing must first die; gambling will be then provided by big monopolies, eventually the remaining gambling companies will be nationalised along with all other monopolies and then comes capitalism 2.0, because people want to gamble out of control - they do not want to have borders set. And someone will want the money once states impose the safe limits, so that live betting or blackjack will look like Sunday Christian Bingo.

If that's how you truly feel, then why bother posting, isn't that a waste of time too.

Could it be the BTC, considering, bookies with its shortage would play around. Request a check, or wire.

But, if your problem is fixed, please do update us here in this thread, for the benefit of other affiliates.

I am making a wild guess, but I think, they've either hired or moved support department to India, or the Philippines. Willing to betsherlock in this thread, might have an idea.

Inputs welcome, and sorry to push the thread to another side, but it seems to be related, considering the current haphazard state of what both bettors and affiliates seem to be going through, when it comes to payouts.

I am posting here and elsewhere less and less. In the end I will stop for sure, because second half of my life and preparing for death is near. For now... yes it does have a reason, I am not still withdrawing from the world completely, so I am communicating. Sometimes, some people contact me, sometimes I hire them, before I fire them. I am not trying to make money directly through my posting for a long time and I never will do it again.

I just repeat. What survives is worth of survival. What does not survive is not worth of it. Those models that thought that one can monetize honest effort to help others were proven wrong. I even feel ashamed a bit for my naivety and idiocy. It came from the feeling that one can after all find a place in the world where you can both help and make money aka to be the good boy loved and accepted by everyone. It is a bs and especially it is a bs in gambling niche.

The business ethics exist rather as an exception, not as a rule. It is better to find a way how to live with this with peace than to be angry that the world is not a piece of cake. Otherwise we do even more harm. That is the zen truth of Sake and Shochu!

I would give them any **ing statement made in photoshop in 2 minutes, because if something is obvious they will never have how to check it or send money to the bank account.

They do not give a ***. It is just some random stupid rule as they sometimes ask me why they are not on domain xyz, when they check it from Costa Rica and I keep telling them that they are only in the USA, because nobody will bet with them in CR. Then they finally are enlightened by god and get somehow US IP and they ofc do not see 5dimes there, because I promote them only in some US states and everything has to be explained even more. Then they stop asking for a while and in few months everything starts again.

It could be worse. For example RZ can appear again.

I think I will resubmit every week and see what happens. Maybe they will get tired of telling me no. They did do one thing. They blocked the email address I used to complain so I had to use another one to contact them.

This is starting to remind me of when sportsbook.com went rogue. They delayed every payment and then just shut it down.
In the end my only real recourse is to either give them the info (photoshop) or just start posting on my websites that they refuse/delay payouts.
Telling customers that well know sites should be avoided can add to the credibility of my website.

The block my email server because it is in Russia. I just keep using freemeail with them. It is many years by now. Did they tell you that you annoy them that much so they blocked you? If not then most likely it is just how they (do not) handle their emails.

I had emailed them asking for a business reason to justify asking for the information. When I did not here back from them I sent a second email and that one was blocked. The email was sent from the same server and email address I have always used with them.
