no - no .. and err ... no?
Not really.
Signups is a vastly inflated number of freebie players. eg. 38 for us so far.
Depositors is total depositors including old players.
What I want to see is the number of PLAYERS who deposited for the first time. How many of those signups converted?
I can see the value of initial deposits - but I'd like to know what number of deposits generated those to get a sense of initial deposit values - this will then allow me to pitch the onsite "sales" at the right level to maximise these players.
No.
I want to know how many different players are playing for money this month.
It might be a number close to "Depositors", but it will also include people who have not needed to deposit because they had a balance from previous times.
Again, while profits may jump up and down, the raw number of players who are playing for money (aka Actives) gives me a metric that can be used and measured for retention purposes, and also to see growth.
An account that loses money for a month, but that has (say) 100+ active players is an account that I wiull continue to promote. If it has only (say) 1-2 because people stop playing quickly then I would review the program and also my sales patter.
(somehow it would mean we are not meeting the players expectations)
No. (again)
BY Player please.
If I see a net number of ZERO or around zero, that tells me nothing of value.
IF I can see this by player, or by country or origin, or by currency of deposit, then I learn much more about the player base that I'm sending you.
DO I have minimal activity? Or several winners and losers.
Are US players converting well? Or do Canadians do better? Or Brits? Or Aussies? Or men? Or women? (etc) (etc).
Telling me a number like total profit = $500 tells me almost nothing about the player base.
I acknowledge that I'll want to know total profit at some stage - but I need player level information to breakdown the totals and get a REAL picture of player activity.
