Default Stop Eating Out - Lose Weight - Really?

So we have all been told to stop eating out and cook at home and you will lose weight. Well how is that working for everyone during the current crisis?

Cooking more? Baking more? Baking bread? Eating more junk food?

Then of course there is the possible increase in alcohol?

Well, initially I've gained weight, as I ordered a lot of delivery food.

So I changed that. Now I'm skipping potatoes, rice and delivery food and I mainly eat fish and vegetables. Without sauces, no snacks, etc. Works quite well.

I also bought a bench and dumbells to do some excercises at home.

It is the lack of exercise that is doing me. When I had to work at the office I would often walk home 4miles so that burnt a few calories.

Like Triple7 I initially put on some weight but I have lost 2 kilos this week so I am happy with that.

Once I get the energy to go out and do some walking that will only help in my pursuit for weight loss and hopefully help my health mentally too.

I have moved the shirts that were hanging on the exercise equipment to the closet.

That counts as a workout right?

We also notice this. We have only made food at home and didn't order any food in this lock down. We lost about 2 kg. But we can't do much exercise so that is probably stopping us from loosing more. It is difficult in a small apartment.
Since yesterday we can go out again to walk and exercise. Let's see how it goes now. But soon restaurants open again, that might be bad.

The chinese takeaway closest to me opened back up last week having been closed for the past few weeks - spells disaster in terms of weight gain!

No strict lockdown here, so I can move, so actually I have a bit more movement than normally when just grinding online.
Restaurants closed, but takeaways work, no big change. The only change is closed cafes, so I have less a bit less sugar since I like cakes.
Biggest difference for me is that finally I get a lot of sleep and that is a bit underestimated factor IMHO, so I lost few kilos mainly because I sleep 10+ hours a day and it feels great.
Also a factor is that I have nothing to do, so I made finally my dental implants and also got my 8th teeths removed, since now is the right time, so probably I ate less.

    I wish...

About 6 months ago, the Armani shop were having a 40% off sale. Lashed out on a suit, and 2 shirts. All up AU$2100 (with discount). Had a function to attend 3 months later. Suit fitted (just), but shirts didn't...

Least to say, I've heavily cut out the chocolate, and other cr#p. I've managed to lose a few Kg
