Default Beginner; I want to know everything!

    Hi everyone.

I've been very interested in this industry and have been following it for a while, ever since my dad became a webmaster years back.

I haven't understood enough yet, and would like to know if anyone could inform me about literally everything?

I know it's a big ask but, hopefully someone stumbles by and has some spare time. Even a small comment that you may think is irrelevant/insignificant would really help.

    Thanks in advance!

I will give you the information about literally everything:

This is not an university, so information is not neutral. The more valuable info you get usually, the less the person who gives you the info gets from it. You are not entitled to get info, you must work and deserve it.

If you insist on getting info for free, you will be just a customer of someone. It is nice to be a customer, it is convenient, but then you must understand that the money flow from you not to you.

Life is hard. Many losers who want a free dinner, few winners who sell the "free" dinners.
If you talk to God, you are praying; If God talks to you, you have schizophrenia.

Nice to see you here Billy. Your dad was an awesome guy.

Read as much on the forums as you can. Unfortunately asking about everything is like asking how long is a piece of string.
Once you've done some reading, you might have some more direct questions that people around here will be happy to answer.

    Welcome and good luck

Hey, let me put my 2 cents. First of all, understand that this is a business. For successful business development, you need to clearly see the end point and break your path into small step.
    1) Do a research. Lots of research. Learn about markets, regulations, game providers, casinos, type of games, bonuses, wagering etc.
    2) Pick a least competitive niche. That`s a tough call since this segment is very competitive. Do a keyword research to find out your starting point and vector of development. There should be a lot of materials about niche research online since this approach works not only for gambling.
    3) Once you find a niche, build your concept of the website. Try to make it interesting for a reader. Don`t count only on casino reviews. Pretty much every affiliate website has it.
    4) Get a domain name and the hosting according to your concept. Keep in mind that if you don`t use any protection, your personal info will be visible through free "who is" research without even purchasing domaintools subscription.
    5) Start building your website. Here it`s all about your skill. If you are new to web development, wordpress will serve a purpose.
    6) Learn about SEO and how it works. (Backlinks, robots.txt, sitemap, CMS) there should be some SEO plugins for wordpress.
    7) Now you are ready for some content. Pay huge attention to the picked niche and keyword you want to rank with. You can get it on some freelance service websites like feverr.com(in my opinion it is full of ****). It may take you some revisions to make it readable. You can also hire some content writers on this forum. I saw some threads about it. Section "1)" will help you to figure out whether the content is crappy or not. If you have time and talent - write stuff yourself. Don`t forget to make a content plan for at least few month.
Sign in to several affiliate programs that are relevant for the concept you have. Avoid mistakes like promoting Netent and Microgaming casinos to US audience. The better was your excecution of section "1)" the easier it will be.
    9) Get yourself some backlinks. Some webmasters try to stick it into testemonial page of the casinos they promote, but if casino quotes you with "no follow" link - it is useless. Anyway you need some good backlinks, but I am not an expert on that one. I hope somebody will elaborate on that further in this tread.
    ?????
    10) PROFIT

P.S. It may look easy, but it will take you a good portion of time to rank properly. Focus on small niche. Don`t try to replicate Askgamblers or Latestcasinobonuses, you better make a small but relevant website. It may take you around 6 month to start to rank.

P.S.S. Figure out how you prefer to be rewarded - CPA or Revenue Share. There is a hollywar about it, pretty much the same as Android vs iOs.

    P.S.S.S. Good Luck!

We all give advice.. on certain things.. but what has taken me years and thousands of dollars worth of testing and learning is not going to be given out free.. I'm there to help where I can but to learn everything you need to get your head down and see what works and what does not. And what may work for one aff may not work for another.. there is no right or wrong way it's finding out what works for your niche and the type of traffic you can pull..

We are all here to help. The most important thing is to imagine and vizualize what exactly do you want from this site/blog to happen in future. If it will be just for pleasure, additional income or your passion.
Produce good quality articles and pick a nice domain. This domain will be your ID or just your entrance into our world.
Not on the last place try to read and gather as much information as you can on a daily basis.
And never forget - "Rome was not build in a day".
    Good luck, Billy!

I agree with many of the others who have said to throw yourself into the forums and read as much as possible, as there is a wealth of information contained here.

In fact, if you keep digging and reading, you will find many threads and discussions from years ago of strategies and tips, that are still quite pertinent with today's industry. You may find many discussions that also had suggestions from Ted, as like many of the old time members years ago, he was always willing to help others, and so glad that over all that kind of help does in fact still exist here among some members today.

Also like others have said, if you have specific questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Keep reading, but always review information critically and don't believe everything you read. There's a lot of hearsay and different opinions when it comes to SEO and affiliate marketing.

Some tactics work for some and don't for others. Same with brands and programs. Don't be afraid to experiment. You'll make lots of mistakes but you'll keep learning!

Take everything that you do in little steps at first. Eventually, start taking bigger steps and definitely do not hesitate to reach out to GPWA and it's members for assistance. That's what we're all here for, to help each other learn and grow together in this industry. You can't expect to have it all in a short amount of time. These things need patience and hard work.

Many forum members knew and appreciated Billy's father.

I find it rather moving to see all these expressions of affection for him and all the good advice given to help him. If you believe his post, Billy wants to know "literally everything"

Unfortunately, he has not been here for a long time and seems to have abandoned any affiliation project in the field of gambling. Indeed, if we look at Billy's profile, we can see this:
