    Default Servers in the US

    Hi,

I am the founder of the site http://sportyy.com. The company is registered in Spain. does anyone know if I can have my servers in the US? My concern is because I am an affiliate of gambling sites.

    Thank you!

Depending on your audience, you would most likely want to host your gambling sites in the country where they are located, hence if it's Spain you would want a Spanish host, if it's UK you would like an UK host. Because of the fact that loading speed, and the hosting country are ranking factors, you should see negative impact on your ranks if you switch to US host, or at least this is what I saw.

    cheers!
The thing is that I can get a much cheaper price for a server in the US (AWS) than in Europe. Our users are spread around Europe. My concern is the legal issue.

Accepting bets is illegal. You're not doing that.

Xecutable is right. It wouldn't be wise to add a trans-atlantic trip to each and every HTTP request your website is making. There are 37 requests your website is making, which makes 37 trans-atlantic return trips.

From NY your website loads in 2.71 seconds, from Amsterdam in 1.46 seconds. If you moved your site to USA, you could expect a 2.71s loading time from Europe. That is slow.

Get a Hetzner dedicated server (Germany) managed by IceBlueHost (Finland) and get a free account on CloudFlare.

If a person moves their servers to the US, depending on which state, they can make sure they do not accept payments in a player account or make any bets themselves. If a person has further questions about the legalities they can consult an attorney as they are qualified to give legal advise.
