Casino Gorilla spam

I can see they seem to be hitting a lot of forms;

I'd imagine the aim here is get some clicks through Google search, in the hopes that'll move them up the rankings or that their brand will show up in autocomplete when you type "casino"

I got the spam too. Annoying. Will tell 1 or 2 programs that their affiliate is spamming me.

Good idea, just received another message from them and I can see from here that they're still running. I am reporting their IPs, most seem to be coming from xxhttps://m247.com.

I got this spam message as well,

Just the name of the guy is different, in my case is some "Bryan"

IP Address is from Belgium

Yes I believe they are using the cyberghost vpn service to switch IPs but most are either from m247 or iomart, best thing you can do I think is report the IP to their abuse department, you can find that email by using a tool like whois.domaintools.com/IP-HERE.

I received it as well. I actually kept the email and was going to look later. I guess it's a delete now after reading this.

The spamming is still ongoing and unfortunately it appears to be having a positive impact on their rankings in Google;

Ofcourse their could be other factors such as new links, but it is a big coincidence.

Well there is likely a small uptick in traffic from GPWA readers wanting to see the site.

There may also be a slight uptick, based upon the brand name being stated and searched due to discussions here at the GPWA.

The . com name is now also shown in the above semrush link that folks can't see without a subscription

Any one of these factors can be a very small bump for the brand name.

Those factors along with some folks following the links from the emails could be helping with the current bump.

I wouldn't be surprised if Google is seeing people search "casino gorilla" and then clicking on this site, as a result of them following instructions in the email and then ranking their site higher for casino terms. Hopefully it's short lived, from my end it looks like their spamming is slowing down.

Also not quite sure what you mean about the semrush, I can see limited data without a subscription.

Agreed that the small bump may be from that.

And as for the semrush link you posted, (since I do not have a current subscription) when I visit links as such, I am presented with a signup popup that will not close, and can not view any details at all unless I subscribe.

Yes I received their spam too on my Fashion Affiliate Site, totally unrelated but seems like they are spamming everyone.

I have also received this email from someone calling themselves Bryan, I'm struggling to to see what kind of benefit they are expecting to see from this spam campaign. Any small increase in Google rankings would be short-lived, bit odd really.

I’ve also received these spam emails in the past. I still do now but it’s a lot less. I’ll just immediately delete these messages and similar ones without opening them. There might be quite serious malware in them. Very aggravating and tiring having to deal with it all. It’s absurd.
