    Angry Nominet .uk price hike

Just been on the phone to my domain provider buying .uk's and they just said the Nominet will be increasing domain prices up by a possible 40% this coming march 2016.

Maybe this was just sales bull to get me to renew my other domains with them?

Anybody know of this price hike as Ive got over 300 .uk's

Yes it's happening. You can renew for up to 10 years before the hike though, so if you have the capital spare and intend on holding the domains it may be worth renewing at the lower rate.

As a side note, with 300+ domains you may want to consider becoming a nominet member and managing them yourself - costs £500+ vat to sign up and £100+vat per year, but you can get domains at wholesale rates (currently £5+vat for 2 years v £7+vat for most other registrars). So with 300 domains you'd cover your costs in the first year and be ahead after that.
