A Suffolk Superior Court judge has ordered companies that handle DraftKings' credit card transactions to keep taking payments for the controversial fantasy sports website in New York - writing that he wants to wait and see whether Empire State courts declare the games illegal.
The companies are NBX Merchant Services Corp., Vantiv Inc. and Vantiv Holding LLC. DraftKings is based in Boston, Massachusetts, which is why a Mass. judge ruled on something that seems, on the surface, to be more of a New York issue.
