Default Stuck in a Lift for 41 Hours!

    Hi all,

Some poor sod in the New York got stuck in a lift for 41 hours.

The CCTV has just been posted to You tube...

The elevator was an express from the Lobby to the 40'th floor. Nick got stuck on the 13'th floor (I think that was the floor) and spent the next 41 hours stuck in the lift.

Even though he manage to pull the doors apart it was solid brick wall.

Another good reason the take the stairs

I saw the interview with that guy on yahoo yesterday. The poor dweeb got stuck on a friday night.

He could have climbed into the shaft above the elevator, and pried the doors open couldn't he? I don't think he even tried. I'd be going Jason Bourne in there. lol!

That's what I thought too until I watched another clip that told the whole story.

The ceiling traps are now locked by the fire Dept. to stop people lift surfing.

He did prise the doors open but he was in the express shaft & the only access points are at the Lobby and the 40'th floor onwards. He was stuck some where below the 20'th floor.

Imagine that 41 hours in a lift...

I wondered why he didn't use his lighter to activate the fire alarm in the lift...Because he was on his way back from have a cig.

I then thought maybe the poor sod took 1 cigarette with him and his lighter ran out of gas...

He would be kinda thirsty and hungry.

    A total nightmare

    Cheers

Ok, I get it now. But your 100% right about the fire alarm. That would have been good thinking. After 41 hours he should have tried more than sleeping and peeing down the elevator shaft. lol
