Niche Event-Based Betting Sites

Betfred recently released a group of banner creative around X Factor in the UK, basically offering odds on who wins, who gets kicked off next, etc, etc...

It got me thinking, has anyone tried building niched based betting sites around these type of non-sports events?

I saw someone has set this up:

Seems like with some smarts, there could be potential for carving out a bunch of cheap niche sites like this that each could easily pull in a few players with not much work...

There is tonnes of long tail xfactor traffic - I mean tonnes.

How much of it is converting into players, I can't be sure. However if you can rank well for "x factor odds" "x factor betting" you could be quids in.
