Default Any programs where you can earn commissions on your own player account?

Does anybody know of any casino affiliate programs where the affiliate can "refer themselves" to earn commissions on their own player account? I checked a few programs and they prohibit this in their TOS, but maybe someone knows of some programs that allow it.

I would think that the smaller companies would allow that and those may be companies you may want to stay away from. I am not sure but it seems like a conflict. For instance I cannot recieve a commission when I order from Amazon.

This is against the terms on almost all programs worth promoting, and for those that do not restrict it, they should.

This would give an affiliate an unfair edge on the margin over the book or casino.

There are a couple of poker sites we work with that allow it. It's not allowed in the T&C of most sites, but the trick here I suppose is to know the affiliate team and especially the head affiliate manager/marketing manager very well. If you get the permission of the top dog you are OK. Often this sort of thing would also be related to how much business you bring them... if you are a top affiliate, you may be able to negotiate it as a perk.

Insofar as casino programs go, I'm with the others... it's almost certainly not going to be allowed b/c you could game the system. Now, if you were a giant whale and they knew that and you were going to blow your affiliate commissions in the casino... the same thing I said above applies... you could probably negotiate it after you build a good relationship over a few years.

I also think that no program will allow to earn commission on your own player account. This does not make sense.

I dont think that should be an issue for poker. It is almost like rakeback. I use to big a big online poker player and would only play at sites where I was allowed to get commission on my rake. While it was never a huge sum, it would only make sense to me that if I am promoting their poker site, and I am a poker player I should be able to earn commission on my own play. Its no different than sending a player there, the player just happens to be me.

Casino and sportsbook is another story since you could get an unfair advantage over the casino/sportsbook.

for poker it could be possible you are right but I donīt think a program would accept it for sports betting.

Please explain me, what happens if casino player receive commission to they affiliate account? All casino games and slots have negative EV for player. If he receive back are part of his loss, this is not make EV positive for him.

I donīt know much about casino games but what if a casino players follows a strategy or maybe a mathematic scheme. He could minimize the risk when he gets a certain commission for all losses or am I wrong about this? I mean for sports betting itīs very clear I guess.

I would hardly imagine any brand accepting this to be honest. I don't think it's ethical in my opinion.

Affiliates get paid for sending players to a casino. They did not do any work to send themself to the casino...

I don't think it has anything to do with strategy or mathematic scheme, as all games are not following mathematic schemes...

It's pretty obvious that for casino and sportsbook they would not allow this, they'd be leaving themselves wide open.

I do not understand why Affiliate Programs restrict to receive earnings from myself, but the fact remains that a lot of affiliate programs will not accept to place wagers to their affiliates on its casinos (as a consequence in many of these cases affiliate accounts will be closed). Personally I would not risk to do something like this.

Unfortunately I don't know of any.

I think the main reason why most affiliate programs don't allow it because if they don't impose this clause it paves the way for moneylaundering.

    Hi Guys,

We don't allow Affiliates to earn commission on their own play (stated in t’s &c’s). But I have heard of operators where some of their Affiliates were their biggest VIP's. (Not sure whether they earned commission off their own play though).

I think that the "don't mix business with pleasure rule applies"

It's FRIDAY - so have a great weekend!!

The answer is pretty simple actually. Exploitation.

Poker: Players start signing themselves up as their own affiliates in order to get under the table rakeback. Sites don't want this, as it is very costly and leads to tons of abuse and more work for less pay.

Sportsbetting: Sharps do the same thing, and now even when they have losing months, they now get a kickback. This is disastrous for affiliate programs who do not have negative carryover.

Casino: The affiliate, in theory, should know all of the promotions inside and out. Many of these promos, with the incentive of a 20-60% kickback on losses, become quite +EV to particpate in for someone working the system.

General conflicts of interest: Say I'm 2 grand shy of hitting the top tier pay scale for this month and if I do hit it, I make an extra 5 grand. If I bet 2k in the sportsbook, I end up with a hugely +EV bet where I win 5k by losing 2k, or just win an extra 2k (minus my affiliate cut). Or I could just **** 2k away in the casino for a gtd +5k in affiliate money.

Too many headaches to allow affs to get their own revenues is how most programs view it. I would too if I was an aff manager.
