Hello from SlotZone and a Site Review

Hi everyone,

I run SlotZone (slotzone.io), a review platform covering online casinos, games and software providers.

We started it because the deal between casino and player is rarely clear. So we explain bonus terms in plain language and label each review based on its verification status (Pending, Preliminary, Verified), and we build built calculators instead of static tables.

Our main market is Canada, with some organic traffic from the Philippines and Indonesia. We monetize on revshare only, currently with BitStarz, Stake, BC.Game, Mostbet, Cloudbet and a few others. The domain is young. We rebuilt the site after moving off a penalized legacy .net, and organic clicks are up 162% over the last 28 days, still on a small base.

Two things I am hoping to get here. First, feedback. If an experienced webmaster has a few minutes to look at the site and tell me what is wrong with the UX, the design or the trust signals, I would appreciate it. Second, contacts. I am looking for link exchanges with other publishers, and for affiliate managers running Canada-friendly programs on revshare or hybrid.

Hi Nickolyaas, congrats on the big growth!

I think overall the website looks very professional and advanced with filters etc. From design standpoint it could be worth doing an audit on all the colors, for example now some of them are too low contrast compared to background (chrome inspect view is good for checking this)

The game categorization I would say has some room for improvement too. For example blackjack is counted as a slot-type based on this url,

And in the top navigation menu you have "Slots" twice, in main menu "Slots" goes to all games url, and in the child menu "Slots" go to separate slots page.

As for the menu, that’s fine. We’ll rename the top-level item to All Games. Blackjack is the only specific game listed in the categories, and it’s positioned next to Table Games rather than within it. We’ll sort that out.

To verify this, we spotted something else. We’re serving this URL with a capital letter, but the canonical version uses lower case. The widget in the footer uses the term’s name instead of a slug. Consequently, a 301 redirect was present on every page of our website. It has been appearing in the indexing report since August, but I had taken it to be a line about a redirect.

About colors - understood. Palette is based on tokens, so we'll review all background-text pairs. If they don't pass check, we'll set them aside in a separate batch. If you can recall a specific screen that was particularly difficult to read, please let me know.
