Thanks for the email guys. The extension from 3 to 5 years and the addition of the bingo channel seem another step in the right direction by Betfair. Just wanted to show my appreciation, and express gratitude as this section of the forum isn't always for complains

Yeah, definitely some moves in the right direction. Although it would still be nice to see lifetime rev on the exchange (at a rate that doesn't decrease each year).

Yeah some flat revenue share which would include the special fees, since not counting them into revshare is another ripoff. This is still very weird revenue share. I have one professional gambling forum with really really big highrollers. I contacted BF rep back in 2006!!!!!!! in person and demanded fair rev share. Even when the fairer scheme came out, they meanwhile came with the special fees which is ripoff both to player and affiliates.

No, I will not promote Betfair. I will promote there Pinnacle and Sbobet, but not Betfair. I am sorry.

Disappointing news. I know the the newish head of affiliates is excellent and believe he may have tried to get lifetime on the exchange but, if so, his negotiations failed badly. I certainly can't congratulate any company on a tariff that continues to rip off affiliates. Betfair still sending the wrong signals.

There are other betting exchanges, Betfair is no longer the only one and as far as I'm concerned Betfair doesn't exist.

Do not overrate this move. Betfair is pretty desperate. They again raised commissions in my country to 6.5%.

And they have balls to write:
"To ensure you continue to get a premium experience, we are increasing the base commission rate on Betfair Exchange markets in your country to 6.5% from January 30th."

It is another company trying to kill itself with greed, after the previous greed did not work.

Bad moves Beatfair, people WILL abandon you. Your only luck now is that Betdaq was bought by even more incompetent company Ladbrokes. And I do not care it is not decision of affiliates to raise the commission again and again and again. It is a bad decision. 6.5% and then you can be whinging where are the regular bettors.... they will bet elsewhere since 6.5% is higher vig than at casual sportsbook, where they get better bonus and simple interface [not to menton low vig bookies].

You have nothing to offer to people who bring money to the system and you **** off the people who bring liquidity.

Yes those are very valid points. I think the biggest "winners" are on 20% commission aren't they? Talk about trying to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. The founders got out of Betfair with 100s of millions when they floated and now they are off spending it nobody who works there gives a monkeys about Betfair. I use the exchange almost daily and it is such buggy software. The same bugs there with nobody ever mending them. It was not like that before the float. The attempt to make it appeal to casual sports punters has backfired because the interface is so confusing for first-time users now. The exchange was a fantastic concept, but they are doing their level best to undermine it. The new exchange interface is so bad. Thank heavens they have kept the link to the old interface (so they must know how bad the new software is?). Yet another typical bug there though - you have to click the link at least twice to get it to work.
