about rev share, life time comision and other things

hi,

in the past it was very attractive for me to see affiliation programs that offer Rev share and Life time commission to affiliates

I seems REALLY good: as affiliate all I needed was to find some players that play regularly and my income as affiliate is secure for life time

I'm doing affiliation for a while, I see that it's not really happening and I am trying to think what is not working in this very nice deal

these are things that I think, I'll be very happy to see other affiliates opinions and experience


basically as affiliate I do not get the information about the players that I bring to the casinos, I asked almost each affiliation program and online casino if I can get this information and the answer was "no"
so basically it means that players that I bring to the casinos are not known to me

who does know the information about the players that I bring?

1. the casino
2. the software provider

as far as I know both the above are obsessed with something that is called "player value" this means that each player has a "value" to the casino and this value is the profit that this player brings to the casino

if I bring a player that is playing a lot and gives monthly income to the casino, and I have a Rev share deal with this casino than I am supposed to get % from this monthly profit

BUT

the casino operators and the software provider are running reports, and they are checking the value of the players, let's say that I found a player that gives profit to a casino of 1000 Euro per month, and I am supposed to get a rev share of 40% from this profit

I do not know who this player is, the casino and the software provider do know

what makes them not just "take" this player and give him a very attractive offer to register to another place that will "cut" my share of the profit?

they already know who this player is, they know his player value, they know his email and all the other details of him.

basically today I think that the only real way to affiliate and not worry about this is to take only CPA

I'd like to hear other affiliates opinions about this...

Basically we will never know.


It is all about trust ............... but..................if a casino fails to track a player all of a sudden in a prepared audit .........you can imagine what happens to the program's trustworthyness on all boards and their existence for the long run............in essence if a program fails deliberately and cheats and steals webmasters earnings they WILL get rogued and scammed, just like grandprive.


Scumbags should not be allowed to do business, be a good program and you will see the rewards there is zero tolerance for cheaters.

The casinos do not know you don't know the player. Could be a friend or relative in another part of the country/world.

Stop telling them, that is a layer of protection, sort of.

Imo, I would imagine if a casino is cross marketing players and demapping those players from the affiliate, it would be discovered by now.

it seems to me it is too risky to steal players with a short term upside but a potentially long lasting and damaging downside.

but who can really tell maybe they just haven't gotten caught yet. I've often wondered myself.

sure trust is the key here, is there is a list or place somewhere where I can see programs that are trusted and work for a long while? (from affiliates opinions)

Make no promises and consider paid inclusion. Offer placement for X amount dollars and let the dice fall where they may. Just be sure there not a rogue brand. This way you eliminate any suspicions just be sure you get paid upfront for six months.

I would charge $15,000 front page for six months on two sites for example. This price would be dependent on the targeted traffic I am capable of delivering. Also again you can not offer any guarantees.

the software providers do have a cross database of all their players in all their operators, I know this for a fact

they can just run a simple database query to detect players with high value cross all their operators

and a second query to find their email

third is to sign a deal with a new operator that is better for them (that does not have affiliation)

then send email with nice welcome bonus that a player cannot refuse

and that's it... simple way to cut off all the affiliates (and also operators) from their players with high player value
