It's not like it doesn't work anymore so why doesn't anyone white hat guest blog anymore?

I am starting to think I am kicking a dead can, with just a couple of you excluded.

When someone asks to have a guest post on one of my sites, I not only encourage the exchange, I help make the writing better and tailored to my audience. I even will tell them the truth about how my site ranks and what they should expect from the opportunity.

Now, eyeones eyes light up and I hears things like, "great I can post there, I'll pop over and buy a cheap article and get a link." Thats what is killing it...

I am tired of after long and arduous efforts of finding suitable guest blogging opportunity, what ever the arrangement, only to have them hand me a $10 article for their piece.

You didn't think I was going to be answering my own question did you? Ha! Well you thought wrong as I really want all of your opinions on the climate of guest blogging at the end of 2013.

My take away thought: Gone are the days of the recipient of the link gaining the most benefit, and here is the era of the publisher getting the credit, yet both must exist to keep a balance.
