Default Facebook still good for affiliate marketing in 2026?

Hello everyone, I want to grow traffic using social media.
Is Facebook still good for affiliate marketing in 2026?
Do you use groups/pages, or short videos like Reels?
I’m thinking to combine SEO with social traffic.
    Any tips are appreciated!

Last week I got an AI notice from facebook that they had downgraded my group.
No reason other than "reasons" from our guides - useless guide. No ability to contact a human.

Facebook and their AI management will eventually just decide that you never bought ads from them (they've been nagging me to do so for six months now) and so hamstring it.

I'm using it out of habit - but I'd say it's worthless.

FB works well, but you need to be careful you can get banned. It’s best to present the content as a free promo code giveaway for various products and carefully blend in the casino part so it looks natural.

We still have a facebook group but the usage is nothing like what it was 10 years ago. It seems to me that many people have moved away from facebook in general or simply observe without posting nowadays - this whole 'Posting Zero' trend which has been in the news of late in action maybe.

Facebook still has the same issues it’s had for years: it can be useful to some extent, but it requires a significant investment of time and, if you go into ads and manage to get them approved, money that can go to waste in a blink if the platform bans you because it decided you infringed one of its rules. Personally, I don’t think it’s worth it at this moment.

Facebook isn’t dead it’s just matured. It still performs extremely well for 30+ audiences, local businesses, B2B retargeting, and community-driven niches.

Organic reach is weaker than before, but paid ads + groups + strong creatives still generate consistent leads if the targeting and offer are right.

I’d use Facebook as an extra traffic source, not the main one. It can still help with visibility and warming up an audience, but it’s too unstable to depend on too much.

For me, SEO is the base, and Facebook just helps support it.

Reels are definitely where the organic reach is right now on Facebook. If you can make engaging short videos that hook people in the first few seconds, you can still get a lot of free traffic. Just avoid putting affiliate links directly in the video description — it’s much safer to send people to a "link in bio" or a landing page to avoid getting flagged by the algorithm ️

Facebook can still work for affiliate marketing in 2026, but it’s very different from how it used to be. Organic reach on pages is pretty weak unless you already have a strong audience, while groups and short-form video content (especially Reels) seem to perform much better now. A lot of affiliates are using Facebook more as a traffic funnel into email lists, Telegram/Discord communities, or SEO content rather than relying on direct affiliate links alone. Combining SEO with social is probably the smartest approach because Google traffic is less stable these days and social can help diversify things. I’d focus on building a recognizable brand/personality instead of just posting promo links, since engagement and trust matter way more on Facebook now.

Facebook is still in the game, but now it is useful for awareness and community building, not for direct offer promotions. So I trying other social media

It really depend how you use it, if you are an operator to bring players over, for some country are still worth to try especially third world country there are mostly mobile first and their data maybe just able to support 2G - 4G only and there are still using lite version of facebook. So the targeting and placement need to be filter to serve the right audience who able to load your website.

I think Reels are probably the best option for organic reach now. I’m also interested in testing Facebook as an additional traffic source.
