Default What do you have to say about weird deposit patterns?

I often notice deposit patterns from people that make little sense, like $135.85, $3980.86, $10239.11 etc.

The natural numbers should look like $100, $300, $5550 and so on. They should be rounded figures.

The all-the-way-to-the-decimal type of deposits look out of place. Is it that some degens are just emptying their cards or bank balance in full?

Just thought I would share this interesting observation, not one's really talked about yet.

Probably converted from different currencies or crypto.

So far, I've interpreted it as a result of currency conversion. However, I know some people have 'lucky numbers,' so it wouldn't surprise me if that's sometimes the reason for those odd amounts.

If I've had odd small amounts left in an account I've often rounded it up - so for instance if I have £1.50 in there for whatever reason (stake limited usually on a previous bet) then I might deposit £8.50 to make it a round number for my next bet.

I definitely think it is mostly due to crypto, as much of the online gambling space is crypto deposits these days.

Someone might deposit 3 Solana for example. Or, they have have purchased $500 of bitcoin 2 months ago and it is now worth $437 or whatever.

Other common factor, especially on casinos I promote which allow a lot of different countries, is what is a round number in one currency is not a round number in another currency. 5,000 crone is $467, so if you're viewing stats in your default currency, the amounts vary.

The primary casinos I promote are crypto-only deposit options, though still most of the time will be close to a round number. Like $96, or $293, I can assume these instances, they recently purchased bitcoin or whatever with a round number of dollars, and the exchange fees and network fees make the final amount deposited a non-round number.

Also, as someone who had a serious gambling problem temporary years ago(I'm not under the belief of once an addict always an addict, I look at online casinos all the time and feel no temptation to gamble these days, even with plenty of easily accessible crypto sitting on my desktop wallet, I had some serious binges and phases when younger and got over it), the amount of money I'd gamble wasn't based on round numbers, it was based on how much I had or could access. If I had just lost $500, and had $273 remaining on my checking account, I'd deposit $273. If I was $335 away from my credit limit(and by the way, there's ways to bypass the cash advanced limit on credit cards, I'd make a paypal payment to a friend or gf like a purchase of goods and services, and they could withdraw it to bank immediately), I'd deposit $335. It was reckless and dumb but just how it goes.

Though I think mostly these days it's due to just crypto, fluctuations in crypto prices, and people choosing round numbers in crypto or another currency, like 0.05 BTC deposit or whatever.
