Lightbulb Well established brands or the ones who pays the most?

    Hey,

So we are in the very startup on our affiliate-adventure within the nordics but with some great sites. At the moment I am trying to create the best mix for our site. Today we promote two casinos on the top where we we get 200 usd/25 % revhare which is nice, but I see that the more established brands seems to have a bit better conversion.

I am trying to find out whats the right mix. We dont have a lot of volume and the best I get from the established brands is basically 50 % rs, which is probably not bad either.

I would really much appreciate all your feedback on this

When you are just starting out, I would focus more on getting the right mix of trustworthy brands that treat your players well first, instead of trying to find brands that pay the highest commission.

A good rule of thumb for me has always been: "the shittiest brands pay the highest commissions". You are betting off sending your players to a good, reliable brand with a great reputation on a lower deal than sending them to a crappy casino where they will deposit once or twice and never return to. What would you rather have, 30% of 10k or 50% of 200 euro?

Also, if you get big CPA deals and don't deliver the right (depositing) players, the programme will drop you or steal from you, simple as that. And there are even some operators that will just claim your traffic was fraudulent and not pay you at all.

It is also good to have a mix of new and old brands. For the new brands I always like to look for new brands from established operators. So you know they can be trusted.

Once your sites start doing traffic and you start generating new depositors and revenue, you can really focus on getting better deals. The casinos will then know the value of your traffic better and be willing to negotiate better deals if the player value is there.

    Best of luck!

Having a mixture of the two seems to have a nice balance.. You do need some established ones I think so that your players trust your site... think about it, if you were to end up on a casino site where you didnt recognise any brands you'd be put off... I'd say also have a nice mixture of deals... CPA for cash flow to inject funds back in and rev share for your long-term security. All the best!

dont get too into the highest CPA or rev share.. its all about how much you make.. how much ytou retain everything else is just a gimmick to pull you in, you can have solid programs with top notch customrcare bonuses etc.. with low % but make multiple 5 figures.. then you have brands which offer killer commissions but have a 5% conversion ration and almost nobody ever comes back and high rollers avoid it
