Rival - Banner images down

Could a Rival Rep please check on the status of the banners for all Rivals. My images are not showing on the ones served by Rival since yesterday.

Oh good - it's not just me!

My banners are missing for about 5 or 6 Rival casinos.
I contacted the manager of one of them today & he said the server is working normally... !
Not it's NOT!

Don't worry Rival will get on to the issue eventually - probably by Christmas!

I no longer wish to host banners for a couple of reasons -
One is that, depending on the program, they are updated automatically.

The more important reason is that sites like Picscout scans servers looking for images they claim to have exclusive rights for, and send out demand letters. Their bots do not obey robot.txt files either. Whether the orig designer had paid rights or not, you still have to deal with them, if they send out a letter.

Besides that, bandwidth is on the casinos' server for their banners served.

All of that does not speak to the fact that the banners are not being displayed as they should. That's the current issue.

True, some do update automatically.

If it says, 'right click, save as" on the banners within your
affiliate account, meaning that's their (aff program) property
and they are allowing (giving permission) you to host it yourself?

Since 2003, I've always hosted the banners myself, and {{knock on wood}}, I've
not received such a letter. Don't mean I won't one day, I'll just deal with it at
the time it happens, if it does.

As for bandwidth, I don't use that many banners, mainly text
links, but if bandwidth usage becomes an issue, I'll upgrade.
