Links Gone In GWT?

Hi has anyone else noticed in Webmasters Tools / Search Traffic / Links To Your Site that there are now a lot of links gone?

For my part, the list is vastly reduced, even the number of links from GPWA where it may have been in the hundreds is now down to say 25. Are they counting them in a different way?

I have noticed a number of spammy, ****** domains that we disavowed months/years ago falling off the lists. I assumed, without checking, that it was because the sites themselves finally went offline.

Guess I'll have to take a look at it.

One thing I have noticed in the last 2 months however is that GSC has been acting weird with updates. We used to have a 2 day delay on data. Like clock work. Now it periodically works like that, but then skips a few days here and there, catches up all at once, works for a few days again on a 2 day interval and then rinse/repeat with the gaps and skips. Frustrating b/c it's hard to do our research on KW when the dates we have access to the data keep jumping about.

I noticed that it was a lot of the spammy links that appear out of thin air which I disavowed so could just be that they are deleting them now.

My stats have not updated either I am showing the 17/6/18 currently. A bit like some affiliate programs nothing for a few days then a flurry of days activity coming in the same time.

Links have stayed absent from GSC links reports for me. However, we're still lagging on KW reporting. Only showing the 18th where as normally we would have access to the 20th as of today.

It caught up. Was looking at stats and suddenly went from stuck on 18th to up to date on the 20th with a normal 2 day lag.

There are too many extraneous characters for me to tell... Do you mean to say "big rank boost but no extra CTR?"

Maybe another algo jiggle and they finally are realizing who the quality sites are :P
