Members with Forums - Posts for NoFollow Links? Content for Citations?

We're considering running a sort of SEO experiment. Two of them actually.

1. We're hoping to test out forum posting and garnering more nofollow links for some of our poker news articles. We currently do not do this with anyone, but are looking to try it out at 2-5 forums, perhaps posting something 2-4 times per month.
2. Also we're considering having one of writers rewrite these types of news articles on someone's gambling related, but non-poker focused, website a couple times a month in exchange for an actual followable link at the end as a source citation (i.e. nothing kw-rich, just a standard journalistic citation). We are currently not doing this with anyone, and are only looking for 1-3 people to do this with, and only for sites with as much or more authority in their gambling niche as we have in ours.

I do not want to make spammy posts or drop spammy links to BS promo "news" or anything of the sort. I'm talking about actual news stories. Examples from the last month might include:

1. Australia's poker legislation
2. PokerStars announcing it would leave Australian markets
3. Ignition Poker announcing it would enter Australian markets
4. the huge wave of winning player bannings at 888 poker
5. Calvin Ayre becoming an envoy for the country of Antigua and Barbuda
6. The bitcoin hard fork and how it affects poker players

To those GPWA members who operate forums. I imagine most of you have a dead poker section somewhere, specially those of you who run casino, sports, or bingo related forums. There always seems to be a poker section which hasn't had a post since 2015. We're looking for a few places that I can have someone write short posts (25-150 words) about current online poker news stories and drop a nofollow link back to our website's news stories.

It's not going to affect rankings at all because no one is interested in it. Well, no one other than the future spammers in this thread who are posting to increase their post count so that they can then drop links in this forum and dilute all the actual contributors...

It's only been two weeks since the start of this thread. Needs much more time IMO
