Default question about translation and hreflang tags

    Hello,
I need some help. I have an idea to translate my home page to many languages and put on all of them correct hreflang tags.
Do you think that this is a good idea and do you think that if the home page ranks in English translations will also start to rank?
Anyone did the same? Thank in advance!

Why not? Just hire appropriate writers/translators and do keyword research for your new "foreign" clusters. But of course, it would be better to include some inner pages for each geo besides homepage.

it mostly depends on the content, so for sure you should put the attention on the quality of the translations

I think it is a great idea.

I have not done it, but it sounds like it cannot "hurt" as long as they are correct.

I use worpress and have added a translation plugin for the entire site, but I think your approach would be an improvement and worth the effort.

Generally, it's a good idea, however, your translated pages won't rank well just because your English home-page ranks.
Each translated page is a new page connected by a link from the English home page (and maybe from every other page on your site).
If you have a strong domain, I suppose that all those translated pages will receive 'link juice' from your home page and from your other pages that will link to the translated new pages.
The new pages might rank well, depending on the competitiveness of your keywords in this specific language.
Don't forget to adapt your links to gambling sites that accept players from the according countries. Players from France will not play in English speaking sites.
You start a big beautiful project. Go for it!
