U.S to track 'untraceable' prepaid cash cards

They're now called "prepaid access cards" because they're not tied to a bank account. They're just pointers to a sum of money you've already paid up (or been given) in advance. The money itself can be anywhere, including accounts outside the reach of government monitoring.

We cant have that, there can't be anything that is outside the scope of government monitoring. All in the name of protecting us from terrorists, and if they catch some illegal gambling or unreported funds for the IRS, well that's just a bonus.

I'm not sure how true this is, but in Australia.."white cards" which are ATM cards which you might get with your offshorre bank accounts, when you withdraw over a certain amount of money it does get tracked.

From memory, a while back the tax office here started tracking these cards to calculate how much overseas money was coming into the country, I believe the user at the ATM was being photographed as well.
