Default Google Slow to Cache Pages

Has anyone else noticed that Google is taking longer to cache new pages? When I published a new page it use to get cached within 24 hours at the latest and usually much faster than that.

Now for the last week or two I have noticed several pages never even get cached while others are getting cached very quickly, and others taking several days.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this...... or maybe it is just my website (which I certainly hope not!)

Google are having some serious crawl issues and suspended requested indexing around 6 weeks ago. Lots of people suffering from slow indexing, all covered in another thread.

    Oh yes

I have the same problem now.

I've uploaded a few pages more than week ago and they are not in the cache still that makes me really upset..

And the same issue with indexing too..

I think that Google is making new changes to their engines. Cache, indexing, and that weird poll on Twitter. Thats very suspicious.

    Google discussing the index tool.
    https://www.searchenginejournal.com/...eature/387195/

It sounds like Google is in no hurry to bring it back. Lets face it. Top websites get indexed constantly by Google so it won't hurt them. It was the smaller websites that depend on this tool that will be hurt.

Brainless question from a moron: "why do people use it?"

The bleeding obvious: "Because google can be so damn slow to index pages."

Moron: "So is there something we can do to make things automatic?"

    Webmaster: "Fecking index the pages."

Google can't be that dumb. This Mule guy is just taking the piiiss.
