Looking around for Backlinks at the moment, trying to find what will work and what will not.
Thinking about a Backlink swap for social media pushes! Would this work?
i have millions of likes and followers!

Interesting idea, how long would you be looking for the backlink to remain on the site?
that is a very interesting concept. Are you thinking the backlink would remain on the website for a week, a month? What are your thoughts?

To be honest I have not thought about the time on sites. Just a thought at the moment, and wanted feedback. I know social media inside out, and hoping to leverage that somehow to boost my site Seo which I am learning about.
Question! Does a Backlink that is on a site for one week have any value after that one week?

Thegooner. I smash the granny out of my social media accounts. All my likes are organic or paid through Facebook or Twitter.
I have no problem with social traffic, but do not want to be a one trick pony
So a website and app will cover the other angles.

I think Gary is one of a few who do actually have real followers.
Re the question : Does a Backlink that is on a site for one week have any value after that one week?
I think this is one that very few are going to be ablle to answer with any absolute certainty...and those only if they have direct experience. And this will be a rare situation to experience.
But logically you could look at it this way....
Say you were running a business that kept getting recommendations....and those recommendations were removed a week later.
You might think something was up, right.
Google would possibly (and probably) look at it the same way. In fact they may not look on it favourably.
It's real difficult to tell if one week (or longer) links that then disappeared would have lasting impact either way, positively or negatively. But I'm just surmising.
Chaumi, thanks for you thoughts on this. Made me look a little further into it. Try and work out a plan than can get me a perm link on sites in other ways then. Slowly getting some good links though.
