I've been having a discussion with some affiliates about their website. We have been discussing what helps them convert customers the best: No deposit bonuses or match bonuses.

But I realise that GPWA would be a better place to get a full picture on this. So I'm eager to know, what works best for you; no deposit bonus or match bonuses, and why?

I actually just signed up for Betfair this week and I can tell you my thoughts. There is money to be made in the "No Deposit Bonus " field because so many players either think its free ( really its not in most cases) and then want to play for real money or Players in general have been scammed so many times they want to see what you have to offer before they deposit real funds.

The question itself could be answered by doing a little research . The most searched for terms are poker & No deposit bonus, not match bonus or special bonus or bonus the dog. Which means that No deposit bonuses are better to get players. The question lies then with the casino/affiliate program, can you convert those players to real money players?

IMO : signups yes / good conversions very difficult.

No-deposit bonuses if we talk about casino will get you lot of new customers, but I believe that only little part of them will become real money players. And that part will certainly be smaller than the one you would get from match bonuses. You have to make your best to make these nodepositors become real money players, some step promotions or other things that will force them to make their deposit. But in fact most of nodepositors are nodepositors. And the reason why they register at your site is your nodeposit promo. Nodeposit promo ends - nodepositor leaves! That is my opinion

I think you are totally right ,no depositors players are usually coming just to play for free and when the free ends they move to anther no deposit casino... I mean lets get real to deposit $25 if you are a player who wants to win it is not so much....
I prefer quality over quantity

We have been doing a lot of free money campaigns with one affiliate and then we got 691 signups and out of those we got 42 new depositing players during January.

After working on the signups during February we got another 19 new deposits, so it has been converting better then we expected. Since I have thought as many of you, that free money will create signups but no deposits.

The fun part is that many of the players who made their deposit was those who won money from the free money and even cashed out, so I think that the increased trust that the players get towards the casino when we pay out helps converting them to real players down the road.

But if they loose the free money like most do, then they have no chance of trying to cash out and they don't get the trust for the brand and they just move a long to the next free money offer.

I have 2 more cents to add. As an example of why I think no deposits work better than match bonus is this - for a couple years I was trying to get the slots oasis, cheery casino group to give me a no deposit for my site. The cheap asses wouldnt budge lol. They stated they do not do no deposit bonuses because of the players they bring in. Ok no problem and a point well taken. No body wants just free players. But here is the good part. At the same time I started promoting Vegas Regal's $12 no deposit deal and now they pay my rent and fill my fridge up with food each month.

That's why I believe that no deposit bonuses work over match Bonuses. If you promote them as a hybrid with the deposit bonus you can reach some really good players. There are also many important factors that are a must when catering to a no deposit/possible real player. The service must be good, the games must be good and the casino must have a rep to pay winners.

In 6 months slots oasis has made me $12.49 while my no deposit bonus has made me thousands.

I think the choice is clear.

I think it’s really depends on the volume of traffic and also luck because although most of the free ND bonus players are looking just for the freebies there are some whom are actually wants to check out the software before making a deposit. So, if you get a large volume you’ll find among these sign ups few players that actually came to deposit and play.<o></o>

Any ways, there are 2 sides to the coin – free traffic = low player value but if you are able to get / bring large volume of traffic you’ll find few good players and even a high roller.<o></o>
