Losing your Wallet or Phone

Of course we wouldn't want to lose either our wallet or phone but which one would you least want to lose?

I got rid of my cell phone 10 years ago so does not apply .I have a LAN line and my husband and kids have a phone if i ever need one when out but I don't .The important people in my life know how to reach us but I found it very annoying to get business calls when I am not in work mode.

Lost my wallet in Maui, have to say getting on the plane was not easy so id say id rather lose my phone that is backed up. Lost a 30 year+ photo booth pic of my wife and I in it.

I rarely take a wallet out with me now and I use Apple Pay for most transactions, so losing my phone wouldn't be ideal!

I would really hate to lose my smartphone, as I also carry my bank cards inside the sleeves of the case that covers it. I've lost it a few times in my apartment and I was just very lucky I didn't lose it while I was shopping for food.

For me, mobile phone is more useful than the purse.
If I lose the purse, I may lose some cash, NIC and the debit card but less painful.
But losing the phone will be more painful as I will lose on the go access to my personal contacts, banking app for in-store purchases and ATM withdrawals via QR or NFC (I prefer QR or NFC payments over the physical debit card), ride-hailing app for rides etc.

Would rather lose the wallet. Barely need to carry it these days, barely even carry any cash/cards with me just use phone to pay for everything.
Just has drivers licence and occasionally some notes in it.

I work all day on the computer do emails etc , my husband is retired so if i am out it is with him and he has one It annoys the hell out of me when you go out to a nice dinner and people have their head stuck in their phone everyone seems addicted to it. I had one for 20 years before that.

Both would be inconvenient, but I'd hate losing my phone more because along with it I'd lose access to my accounts, immediate communication with my loved ones, and photos I haven't backed up.

Backing up your phone and photos is something that many never get around to doing but it's so worth it.

I agree, but last time I was doing it, I wanted to delete something from my phone, and my dumb ass deleted it from the cloud too, so I got annoyed with myself and now I'm complicating the process unnecessarily.

I don't know how you do it, but that can't be easy and it's certainly something I would find impossible doing, so well done for having such strong will power. It's just so much easier to have a smartphone that I can always just use on the go, instead of being stuck in my apartment on a computer or laptop.

I dont even have a wallet. No idea what i should put into (another poll: whats in your wallet).
Never carry a DL or ID card!
In 99% of cases i do pay with iPhone or have some € notes in the pocket.

I agree that for myself, losing my phone would be worse. While walking around a large city recently and always checking for my wallet and phone in case I was pickpocketed, I thought about which would be worse. More of my life is now in my phone rather than in my wallet. Losing my wallet would not be fun and certainly frustrating, but losing my phone would be much worse and a greater hardship.
