Question What percentage of your affiliate earnings do you collect within 30 days?

Most affiliate programs that affiliates choose to work with are pretty good about paying affiliates on a timely basis. But not every affiliate program always pays promptly for a variety of reasons. There are sometimes payment minimums that have not been met, and so payment may be deferred until a later date because of a program's minimum payment strategy to reduce payment processing costs. Or, as an affiliate, one may choose to delay payment if the fee that would be deducted for payment processing makes it a good business decision to wait until a larger payment is due. Or there can be other both legitimate and not-so-legitimate reasons payments are delayed. Maybe you have to invoice the program before you are paid, as silly as that might seem, and you don't get around to doing that right away.

So, although in an ideal world, we would all have 100% of the money due us paid well before the end of the following month, we all know that the world is not ideal. For this week's poll I thought I would ask how well members do in terms of getting what they have earned by a month later.

Be sure to also share the reasons that contribute, from your perspective, to delays in payments in your case. Is it deferral due to minimums or to waiting longer to minimize payment processing fees? Is it administrative delays on your end or on the part of affiliate programs? Is it problems with payment processors?

I am glad I took the time to read Michael's post before actually voting.....

Since he specifically stated about some payments carrying over, I changed my vote before clicking the button.

Things sure are different now compared to back in the days of Neteller servicing everyone and programs willing to pay with the more reasonable $50 minimums.

Although 30 days is great, I don't mind waiting 60 or so - as long as I get paid without any hassle!!

I've gone for 75% overall as I work with one or two programs that seem to drag their heels, theres a couple that require me to invoice them which I'm sometimes a little behind on and there's always one or two with minimum payments to be met.

Overall though, the programs I'm working with do pay pretty much on time. The ones that don't or where I query the validity of their tracking, etc, get pulled as quickly as possible.
