Question What kind of basis for revenue share computation do you prefer and why?

This week, I was thinking all about revenue share. Different casinos, whether fiat or bitcoin, have different revenue share schemes. Not considering the revenue share rate/percentage, what kind of basis for revenue share computation do you prefer and why?

    Player Losses
Net Gaming ( Deposits - Withdrawals)
    New Depositing Players

    Hi,

Maybe it's a langauge barrier thing. Sorry, but your Poll doesn't make any sense.

If I was to run a Poll like this, I'd use the following choices:

    • Rev Share
    • Hybrid
    • CPA
    • Wagering Model (as far as I know this is only offer at Rewards Affiliates)
    • Media Buy (flat rate fee charged for banner exposure - though you need some heafty traffic for this)

    Hope this helps

    Hi happyfeet!

Thank you for bringing this up. I was thinking of creating a poll as well for the commission models, with the same choices that you gave. However, while I was researching for the rev share of different Bitcoin casinos, I noticed that they have different ways to compute the rev share.

    For example:
-Betcoin.ag offers 20-35% rev share and calculates it based on the winloss of a player.
-FortuneJack offers 20%-50% rev share to affiliates and calculates it based on specific number of refered new depositing players.
-Lucky Creek, a brand of Genesys Affiliates, based their rev share on net gaming revenue. They offer affiliates 25%-35% of the net gaming revenue.

These are all indicated on their respective sites/affiliate links and I indicated it as well on my site, bitcoincasinoaffiliates[dot]com.

The reason I brought this up is I want to confirm if affiliates consider this subcategory of rev share, too.

A lot of programs state a base of X% to X%, depending on the program, depends on what they use to calculate your commission. Thing is though, most advertised % commission rates aren't the true flat commission % you'd receive.

Before they get to the NGR (Net Gaming Revenue), GGR (Gross Gaming Revenue) has multiple deductions subtracted. These usually include fees, taxes, bonuses, software royalty(s), operationals cost etc.

In the end your 20% commission, looks more like 15% or less.

So, IMHO regardless of how they figure the GGR out, your best interest is to find out what fees and charges they deduct from GGR. At that point, you can then decide which program is best for you.

    Hope the helps

You are right, I have seen casino affiliate sites with that computation, or same computation with different deductions. The problem is most affiliate sites do not provide this information. It would be helpful if they will, but i doubt if they would

The fairest is a revenue share on net gaming which is profitable for both. If all casinos would do that, it's easier to compare. With all those deductions, it's very difficult to compare. 50% at a casino might be less than 30% at another casino as some casinos have insane costs.

Also tracking needs to work, no shaving must happen, etc. With some brands, it's so difficult to get a good plus end of the month, that I prefer doing a hybrid deal with them.

Another important thing: stats need to be clear. Also that's a thing at different programs.

Rev share by far. If I have to choose another option then a hybrid. I don't like CPA deals.
