Why do some aff programs offer Wire/ACH & others don't?
As we all know Affiliate payments for US Residents are getting harder for us to recieve. Every month it seems like we are scrambling to figure out how we will be paid.
My question is... why do some affiliate programs still offer Wire/ACH Payments and even paper checks for US Residents and some don't or won't? Or if you want a wire payment the earned amount must be $1000.00 or more.
Maybe some of our Affiliate managers can enlighten us as to why this payment method is not viable through them when other programs still send or use these methods for payments for US Affiliates.
I get Wires, ACH Payments and even checks from both RTG AND MICRO Programs so its not impossible to send our payments this way for some programs.
Curious!!!!!

My 2 cents
Hi mynuw:
Some Affiliate Programs may just prefer to play it safe where payments to US residents are concerned. Even now, some Programs are struggling to send outstanding payments to US Affiliates, simply because they don't want it to be construed as aiding Internet gambling, even though we know that's not the case.
Some programs, like ours, may use a 3rd party payment processor that do not allow any type of financial transactions to US residents, whether Affiliate or Player.
It's definitely like being stuck between a rock and a hard place - not a good position to be in whatsoever. If the gaming operation does not accept US Players, then chances are their Affiliate Program is powered by the same software provider as their gaming services. If it is a case where the Program is independent of the gaming software, it is likely that the Program will soon follow suit in terms of their payment rules, so definitely be wary and be guided accordingly.
