Thumbs up Keys To Getting Your First Conversions

    Hi All,

My first post may be a bit long , but bear with me because from my experience and others who truly make a living online, the key to conversions boils down to 1 thing, and that "thing" is too often times overlooked by the people who are still "trying " to make money online...

    Start of my rant:

We all know that internet is a medium where people go and interact with websites , videos, audios and other forms of media. In itself the internet does not have a soul . It`s cold and lifeless and most people use it for entertainment purposes only.

In order to succeed with your marketing online, you have to give people a reason why they should care about what you have to say. Why should they listen to you out of all the other hundreds or thousands of people selling the same product?

This is 2010 and the people that use the internet now are smarter than people who used the internet 10-15 years ago, so simply cutting prices by itself is not going to cut it.

You have to connect with your customers on an emotional level , and when you do this you will have loyal customers that not only are looking forward to your products or services , but are more than willing to refer their friends to you as well.

Personally , it took me so long to realize this, but now when I think back to my own personal life experiences I realize that connecting with customers is the lifes blood of business .

I remember when I was living in Hiroshima , Japan before I moved to Tokyo. It was back when I was still married to my X, and I was one of about 5 other foreigners that I knew of who would always go out at night to the clubs and bars downtown.

When I say always , I mean always.. Monday - Sunday it was a few of us who use to waste our nights away drinking dancing with the women that had a thing for foreigners and laughing and joking about everything.

We all had our reasons for not wanting to go home, but for me it was because I didn`t feel like fighting with my wife at the time, so when I partied , I could forget about the fact that I married the wrong person, I know that sounds kinda wrong, but it`s the truth. Anyway, at that time I liked to listen to hip hop, reggae , and r&b music and there was a favorite bar that we all liked to go to called Hood2Up. It was run by this Japanese guy named Taka , he was about 28yrs old, had corn rolls in his hair like Allen Iverson , loved Mexican styled gangsta rap, drove a old school black cadillac , and spoke absolutely no English except for the foul language he learned from music .

He was always jumping up and down behind the bar and giving away free drinks to people if they looked like they were having a good time and screamin` "Yeah Man" and other curse words that he learned from rap videos. We would just laugh at him because we knew he had no idea of what he was saying , but he seemed to always be happy and having a good time. I`m sure from all the free drinks he gave out he probably gave away most of his profit. Whether he even actually made a profit or not is beyond me, but he always seemed to have enough support from his customers to stay in business becuase he built a rapport with them.

The importance of building a rapport with your customers or potential customers on the internet is multiplied because you are not able to speak to people face to face.

So, if you want to succeed in your marketing efforts online, you have to connect with them on an emotional level, and what you are actully doing is finding people who are similar to you by telling them what you are all about. These are the people that will benefit the most from whatever portal you promote, refer even more like minded people to you , and in turn everyone makes you more money.

This is the whole point of leveraging social media.... In short , I call it the WHY of social media.

    Hope that helps someone .

    Peace

I see a lot of "thanks", but I am 99% sure this is forum spam. He doesn't mention online casinos, or specifics on our niche. First post, and he's authoritative?

I guess this is really good forum spam. If so many people are "thanking" this guy, then I guess this should be a fantastic lesson for black hat or gray hat marketers.

Default OMG I try to help and I get Hate from Haters

Cut the crap man, this is my first time posting in this forum , and unlike others who just take take take, I want to start my time here with informative posts.

If you honestly think that what I just posted is not helpful and extremely relevant regardless of the niche you are in, then you may just be one of the people who I am talking about that overlook this point and it is more than likely reflecting in your conversions.

That negative energy you carry around is not healthy bro.

Calm down bro , I come in peace.

    Peace everyone

Isn't the type of forum spam that you thought this was, often from that $hit program xrumer? And if so, then a live person wouldn't be back to reply to your post right? (I'm not saying the op was a spammer)

I hate spam. And we get so much at our forum, it makes me sick. It seems that most of ours has ip addresses from the Phillipines or Inida. Mostly Phillipines these days. What's up with that?

I wrote one domain owner today because of a multiple accounts made by xrumer pointing to her domain. She swears she didn't do it, and feels that she's the target of some spammers trying to Google Bowl her or something. I don't know what to think. I just wish xrumer never existed. I've yet to find the best solution to keep the new bs registrations out without me having to manually approve each new reg.

Today, I did a country block for Phillipines. Hoping that helps.

I don't see how you consider this as spam. He didn't post any links in his post.

I meant no offense, but I'm not entirely off base here. About 6 or 7 years ago I had a forum that I eventually shut down due to spam. I've seen tons of it in many different forms.

lol, It's really no big deal, but here's why I originally thought it was spam.

    (1) First post
    (2) Content doesn't mention any keyword to our niche.
    (3) Authoritative lecture

If this was originally an automated forum spam, then this is genius. If not, then oh well my bad.

I agree it not fun having your first post "slammed" by a member in a new forum. I hate to be that "guy".

The person who made the post actually sent me a PM. He came off as congenial, and sincere (not abrasive as above post). So, it's either taking genius to a new level OR a real post. lol

    Default Good point primetimetommy

    Hi,

I enjoyed reading your post - I think having passion is definately an element to success in most if not all fields. People with drive and real dedication and passion in their chosen career and interest tend to get very far.

If it hasn't clicked for some affiliates already, I think this will help people on their way.

Well, if we are going to relate primetimetommy's first post to our niche, what he want to point out is a very good relationship between the casino owners and the players. I mean, the casino owners would do anything just to get the loyalty of their players. And here comes the comps and freebies for the players, as well as good customer services. Some casino owners (or representatives) round up their casino hall and approach some players one by one and have a brief conversation with them, usually asking "How are you doing?" "Are you having a good time?" "Winning a lot lately?" or something like that. Thus they are developing friendship with their patrons. Do I make a point here?

I don't blame WagerX for thinking what he thought.
The post was a good read though, definitely hits some good points.
I don't blame you for liking those parties either, they sound fun
(and lol at the dude behind the bar and whether he made profits or not... never know though, he might have made some powerful friends doing that)
He who has begun has half done
