Default Free chip to depositor ratio?

I am sorry if this topic has been addressed on the forum before, I tried searching but I didn't find anything relevant.

I recently did a campaign where I promoted a free chip casino offer to sports bettors. The campaign was something in the line of "have a go and see if you can win, it won't cost you anything". It landed me a good number of new sign ups, but I am curious to see if I get any new depositors out of it.

Does anyone of you have any experience when it comes to promoting free chip offers? Do most of them just take the free chip and never come back, or could I expect to get a good number of regular depositors out of such campaigns?

I am quite a rookie when it comes to the affiliate business and know that it is hard to give any conclusive answers, but I would love to get some input from the more experienced affiliates. Are promoting free chips a total waste of time and efforts or can it be a good strategy?

The majority of casino free chip sign ups don't turn into depositors, the actual percentages tend to depend on where the traffic has come from (eg: people finding the offers by search for no deposit chips are less likely to deposit than someone on your site looking for new playtech slots, or whatever). It also depends on the program but on average I've found it to be around 1 in 4 to 1 in 10. This is a rough estimate as I haven't looked at it in depth.

Bingo free chips on the other hand are way worse at converting - think 1 in 10 if you're lucky (from my numbers).

I think the original idea of the no deposit bonus for affiliates was this. If I can hit close to the top of "no deposit bonus" in the search engines like google, bing, yahoo then I can get those players under my tag and even if they don't deposit now they could very well deposit later. If they uninstall and download later even we would still get credit.

If I may add my point of view from a program's perspective, we have found that free chips do not really work towards conversion. By that I mean offering a free bonus to try out the casino expecting the players to deposit afterwards. Mind you, I am not saying that this is a complete fluke but the chances are very slim at best.

You see the issue here is that when you advertise free chips/bonus/however, say on your site, you will attract people who have used the "Free" KW in searches (most likely) and these people are not really after depositing but rather hunting around for opportunities.

If you aim at good conversion set up another type of deal with the program. A higher bonus percentage maybe - something that will benefit all parties.

    Hello.

I started with offering free promotions and no deposit bonus awhile back. What i noticed is it all depends on what typ of casino/bingo/poker room that you're offering. I have tons of sign-ups on some sites, but they aren't converting at all. And other site's that I just started promoting are converting pretty well. Like baldidiot said above, the rooms that have bingo, are converting much worse then those that are offering just casino/sportsbook.

It's fun to see when players that sign-up for a free promotion one month, makes a deposit the month later.
