New site - follow or no follow?

Hi guys,

I'm on putting together a new website and normally I would set it as follow and index but I thought I would put it to nofollow noindex until it was finished.

Whats your take on this? do you keep it no follow until the website is populated or do you let Google get a sneak peak? will it impact crawling/SEO?

follow, let them find it as quick as they can, as long as you dont use duplicate content to build it first then change it when the layouts are finished as that could get you in trouble

I'd use follow from the beginning also. I can't see there's much to be gained from using no follow.

Google and the others will index the content as you add it which is probably more natural looking anyway although these days I don't think it makes much difference.

Yep I can't see any valid reason for not wanting to get indexed as quickly as possible naturally, and let it slowly age

follow, as long as it's not outright copied content. Let Google have and note that you have a site as early as possible.

follow is better I think. the most important is to promote your website so let Google see it. if you are still working on something, just hide this specific part of your website

I'd use follow and get as many pages indexed as soon as possible.
