    Default Arizona Gaming License

    Hello Folks,

I'm an Arizona resident and have just obtained an ancillary supplier license. As we know sports betting is now legal here. I have reached out to a couple of casinos to become an affiliate. They would like to know my URL that I will be using. My question in this forum is what should be on the URL/website. Meaning should I get content, writing, designers, etc...and then submit a URL or have something extremely basic. I just don't have a full plan of how to approach this yet.

    Thanks,

The companies and individuals involved are carefully scrutinized and held to extremely high standards."

    From https://gaming.az.gov/tribal-gaming/...event-wagering.

I don't know for sure (others here definitely will), but I'd suggest they want the URL so they can go look at the site and make sure it's compliant. Not just for admin purposes. They want to know it's up, on point, meets all their regulations/requirements etc etc. Which means you need to have it up and running, and in a good state (and particularly precise in a number of aspects).

See also this page courtesy of MJM (member here), which will give you added general background https://www.bettingusa.com/affiliate/

The way you've posed the question (and this is not meant to discourage you) suggests you are well behind the 8 ball.

So at this point, the question is not about Arizona sports betting as such (although it will be heavily...along with everything else about sports betting in general and Arizona-specific) but more about 'how do I go about building a website'.

That's a very basic position to be in, of course. And one which might be better off in a thread titled 'how do I build and grow a website from scratch/zero?' To answer that fully would take a 500+ page website, though maybe you'd get the basics in 20 pages.

First of all. Do you have a domain name to use?
And do you know about sports betting enough to be able to write material that will appeal to anyone looking for info on it in Arizona (at a very high quality level)?
And if you don't, do you have access to people that do? That you could either team up with or pay? Basically, if you can't do everything yourself, do you have the financial resources to outsource. (note : there will be some costs anyway if you do it yourself, but for many those would be manageable, although you'd have to go into it with the mindset of accepting it might be money you don't see a return on for some time).

If you're really at the stage implied, don't underestimate the length of the road ahead, and the obstacles you'll need to overcome to even drive onto it. There are big firms with money to burn looking at that market, and they know exactly what they're doing (pretty much every aspect of it). Just be aware of that.

Worth noting this page is in need of an update, we'll get it done in the next week or so - thanks for the reminder.

What is worse than doing affiliate business on regulated market? To have no experience with websites and affiliate marketing and start working on regulated market in 2021.

You probably got the registration under the impression that the market is opening, while in fact the market is just closing (at least for affiliates, who until now did not need any paperwork to enter the market, they did not need to pay any taxes, the operators did not pay any taxes as well and the operators were much more dependant on affiliates [because direct marketing was limited although less in the USA than elsewhere], so the cake was pretty big). Much more money was made before than now and therefore in future it will be likely even worse. Because one equation is valid: the more regulated the market, the less money is for us.

    Thanks,

First off congratulations on your license and welcome to the world of affiliate marketing.

Don't be put of by the negative comments, best advice I've ever been given when it comes to the world of affiliates is:

    1) Pick a content area that you are passionate about
    2) There is no over night success, it will take a lot of work over a long period of time to be successful

You could start off with a simple site and start adding content, see what happens
You could hire designers, writers, videographers, social media team, media buyers etc

Basically the path you take is completely open and there is loads of different ways to achieve success

    Good luck!

The negative comments are the "positive" comments by people who have just their hope and absolutely unrealistic claims.
Advicing others doing stupid things is something that gambling affiliates are good at. This industry dies with so called legalisation. Nothing is more obvious than that. Play stupid games win stupid prices. The best bet still in AZ are offshores. Until inevitable censorship arrives.

Nobody who ever made serious money needed some "supportive" comments. Nobody ever. That is for support groups. Maybe it is a selling point of GPWA too, but it is a nonsense either way.

    Survivorship bias is a b1tch.

It is 2021. 15 years ago even a retarded person made money just by making a website. Nowadays it is a different game. Yet the newbies are fed by a total nonsese for god knows what reason.

Decades ago was insane to start doing something online and therefore yield was high. Nowadays normies want to make money online, under competition, right before economic collapse. Those people in the best case end at the corps. In worse cases in debt and at the corps. I work with those young ambitious guys. They just waste their energy on doing nonsese like professional betting, affiliate marketing, crypto arbitrage etc. They read success stories on twitter about past. They are not able to distinguish reality from fiction.

Jesus christ what business plan is to make some AZ licence and after that think how to use it? Everything is done backwards on an awful market. This is really not how money can be made.

Far the worst business project is to do some random move and then going to social networks to get the support. Because there is all the time somewhere some loser that provides that support. I was recently banned from subreddit for "tough love rule" or some bs like that just explaining to gamblers what gambling is all about.

Anyone who is not able to bear and really reflect "negativity" should go to some woke university. Business is about discarding 99% of stupid things and doing it ASAP.

Best time to plant an oak tree was 15 years ago, second best time is today. A number of times in my career I've thought "that's it, there is no point starting now, it's all locked up" and I've been proven massively wrong. Rapid growth of social media affiliates and live streaming affiliates as an obvious example. I totally missed both opportunities as I just didn't get it at the time.

Sure, probably not the best way to start, but also not the worst. By getting the license first the OP saved a lot of time and effort on the percenatge chance they would have been denied a license.

I'm an optimist at heart, it's a big internet and there is plenty of room for everyone

    Thanks,
Congrats on securing the Vendor/Affiliate license. The operators you partner with will need to know the website you'll be using and some general marketing concepts. Some want more info than others. Feel free to DM me

Through the casino's TGO, all prospective gaming employees must begin the State Certification procedure. At the casino, potential employees fill out an application and pay the requisite cost. The TGO will send the application and money to ADG on behalf of the potential employee
