How to **** Off People and Lose Affiliates

In recent months the problem has reached epidemic proportions & hence the casinos have complained very loudly & instructed Spirals & PayMasters as marketers & affiliate managers to fix this important issue forthwith.

ALL AFFILIATES,
whether you are a top PayMaster affiliate earning $30,000+ monthly or a newbie making $100 in commissions,
all are to update all of your websites with the current August 03 correct bonus offers & banners within 72 hours of receiving this email advice. ( i.e. no later than midnight 27 August 03 )

we spend many hours making sure the promotional information is correct and updated so an affiliate has the very best and correct marketing tools. Affiliates must change the casino promotion details within 5 days of notification of a change.

The casinos have invested $millions in setting up their highly respected casinos & are in fact all of our "bosses" in reality, they are the ones who pay us the generous commissions we receive, provide all the support, management expertise and the huge financial resources to run large casinos on the web.
They welcome all the affiliate business we send them, and in return pay us as affiliates promptly, however,
this simply fixed problem is causing enormous wastages of their resources and time and goodwill,
......and finally they have put their foot down.

Please note that PayMasters terms and conditions have been
updated to include the following sub-section, section 1. d.:

"The Affiliate is responsible for ensuring that all casino-related
information and banners posted on any Affiliate site are always
updated. The Affiliate has five working days, from receiving notice
from PayMaster Casinos, to complete all the related updates. PayMaster Casinos
reserves the right to terminate the Affiliate agreement should the
Affiliate promote outdated casino-related information and banners."


Ok, so what does the above mean? ............
You as a affiliate need to be made aware that;
affiliates who do not update their old banners upon request,
will be removed from the casinos affiliate program and hence the PayMaster program, and their affiliate commissions will not be paid.
It is our intention to build a strong affiliate base, based on serious "working" affiliates

We are still seeing banners for the;
CLOSED CASINOS: Hooks Casino, Atlantis Fortune Casino, Big Flash Casino.
REMOVED CASINOS: Piggs Peak & Jackpots in a Flash, with tracking tags are still pointing to /with PayMaster links

For people who have many sites and pages it will be imposible to comply with this new T&C. Brightshare will lose many affiliates over this I am sure. Also I do not consider these casinos my boss. I am my own boss and have been for over 3 years.

As most of you know I'm a newbie to the casino world so I don't have the standard reaction. My reaction is that they've had a bad month and want to lose some affiliate payments.

I also don't understand the problem, I've been promoting Roxy and I use their hosted banners for bonus info. If the bonus changes, I assume they change the banner (and I hope the new one fits in with my colour scheme).

If they've got links to casinos that they no longer support, why don't they just tell the surfer and offer him an alternative?

Am I out of touch with the real world of casinos.

Brightshare's email wasn't nearly as strongly worded. But it was still a bit worrying.

While the 5 day time limit may be a little harsh, you need to see it from their point of view. I'm sure many customers are complaining to them that the advertised offer is not available.

While it would be nice for them to allow a bit more time to clean up a problem that evidently has been ongoing for some time, I don't think it's unreasonable at all for a casino to expect their affiliates not to run outdated banners.

Gaming Winner, what annoys me more than anything is if i email them i dont except a reply within 5 days, i dont expect one ever. They shouldn't expect us to rush home (or to the office) from a vacation or whatever when they cant even respond to simple queries.

This is my reply to Paymasters.

Hi Adrian,

This email just convinced me to remove your casinos from my site. I'm not about to continue building a player base with you, just to have you close my account because I happen to be on vacation when promos change. You have never given any advance warning on a bonus change. The only way I find out is looking for myself or from a GPWA member's post. It is a standing joke at GPWA when one of the casinos changes its bonus. HOW LONG BEFORE PAYMASTERS SENDS OUT A NOTICE ON THIS ONE?

On top of the fact that you pay only 25% commission and the fee to receive my commission comes off my end.

And with this time limit that you are demanding, it seems like you would be the first to pay your affiliates each month. But that is not the case. You are consistently one of the last.

One thing you need to realise. I set up my website so I can be my own boss, work whatever hours I want, and take time off when I want. YOU ARE NOT MY BOSS. My income does not depend on you. But your income does depend on your affiliates.

If I ever dedcide to put the casinos back up, it will be under Brightshare. At least they realize the value of their affiliates.

I am going to remove them too. I do not like their tracking system. Believe it is designed to rip off affiliates! But can't confirm it. No players there ever even after great exposure. These casinos are crap, I had a bad player experience with them as well. Just my thoughts, Justin.

Lloyd sounded like he could talk some sense into the powers that be. what a bunch of idiots. Even if they change their mind, I'll still be very leery of putting too many of my eggs in their basket. Who's to say they won't do this again at some point?
