Conversions in Google Analytics

Is it possible to track conversions in Google Analytics like someone clicking on an affiliate link? I mean in Realtime view, I can see a visitor is on the site, and the internal pages they are visiting, but not what they are doing otherwise.

I know there is tracking for purchases and things like that on a retail site, but what about other activity like clicking on links and visiting a casino?

Sorry if they sound like a dumb thing to ask, I'm not very savvy when it comes to analytics.

I think you just need to add the GCLID or UTM string after your URL /?

You can track events (clicks in this case) in GA together with GTM.
Universal Analytics updates in real time, as soon as the event takes place.

It's not like that in the new thing though (GA4 or whatever it is) or at least I was not able to configure it that way. Events report seems to only be available on the next day.

Then again, I haven't used GA4 all that much, but given that UA will cease to exist in 50 something days, I should better start getting used to GA4

Yes like Paul said, GA4 is not the way to go with this. Depending on traffic you usually get info based on a sampled audience. Plenty of good tracking alternatives, worth investing time in figuring those out especially now that UA won't be supported anymore after 1 July.
