Question How did the second quarter of 2025 compare with the first quarter for you?

The second quarter of 2025 ended just over a week ago, so it is time to ask our periodic question to members about how the revenue they are earning has changed over the last quarter.

If you compare revenue from the second quarter of 2025 (April to June) to revenue from the first quarter of 2025 (January to March), how did it change? Did it get better, stay the same, or get worse for you?

And post your thoughts about the changes you have seen and your view of what the future holds. How much do you think the changes you saw between the two quarters is due to general economic conditions, how much is related to changes in the online gaming affiliate marketplace, how much is related to seasonal fluctuations, how much to special events, how much is purely random, and how much is related to changes in what you are doing?

To my disbelief, my revenue actually shrank considerably in the second quarter of this year.

    IT was a significant drop.

My two main casino groups profits were down with main site losing in one month despite 7 figure turnover.
Lucky players? Less money to spend? Tough to tell the difference.
    June rebounded a bit.

Much better than the first quarter. A key program which had been struggling with 1 very successful player has rebounded thankfully.

It stayed the same. It is not what I wanted, but I expected it. If everything goes as planned, I hope my revenue grows in the third quarter.

In my case, revenue in the second quarter was very similar to the first — the change was within 5%. This means that despite seasonal fluctuations, I managed to maintain stability, which I consider a positive outcome given the current market conditions.

Each quarter we have continued to grow both on affiliate revenue and SAAS revenue with StatsDrone subscriptions. H2 is looking great and looking forward to the challenges and rewards.

The second quarter was slightly stronger than the first, with rev-share ticking up a bit. That said, the industry continues to get more challenging competition is rising, regulations are tightening, and margins are getting thinner. It takes significantly more effort now to achieve the same results compared to just a year or two ago.

For me the second quarter was worse than the first. There were some dips, especially in May, and overall revenue ended up lower compared to the first quarter. After the drop in May things have slowly started to stabilize, so I’m hoping the third quarter will be steadier and maybe show a bit of growth.

Totally new to this so I have no data of my own, but just curious, is there a quarter that tends to consistenty perform better? Like in the lead up to Christmas, etc?

Good question, recall a poll that covered at least a portion of that question previously.

I think a portion of it would have to do with the geo targeted, and could be tied in to weather and or holidays that are popular in the geo.

Using the US as an example, many feel the summer is slower since more people take vacation and are away from home longer periods during the time. Some might feel the winter is busier since more stay home and might play from home more during bad weather.

I am sure there are many more factors that might affect different geo's.

Might make an interesting future poll.

I’ve noticed a pattern in my own earnings, and I think everyone has their own, but I don’t believe we all follow the same one. I had never really thought about it, but the explanation Rick gave makes sense (that it depends on the GEO you’re working with). I also agree it would be interesting to hear what others think about it.

Big pattern I notice is revenue drops during large casino affiliate shows. Coincidence or covering expenses I don't know for sure but its a pattern.

The first quarter was not very good for me, results went down quite a bit. The second quarter was also difficult, but now in the third quarter things are looking a little better and I hope this continues.
