bonus abusers

I am currently making an app that will have an odds comparison feature. I am worried that people who abuse bonuses might use it. If people decide to do this would I be likely to get my affiliate accounts closed or would they just get banned? If so, what is the standard way of protecting against this? Thanks for any advice.

IMO you don't need to worry about this, it's the casinos job to protect themselves against bonus abuse and they do this successfully by restricting certain countries, adding wagering requirements etc... all you have to take into consideration is your conversions might be low if you have the type of app that is good for bonus abuse. I wouldn't worry about your account getting closed though unless you are on CPA

Yes, agree with F-L-C, however its always possible to bonus abuse so keep an eye on the customers coming from the app, I have never heard of a case where an affiliate gets banned or closed because the traffic is bonus abusing.

Bonus abusers are part of the landscape, and there really isn't much that you can do about them. Wouldn't be overly concerned.

I agree that the burden falls on the operator and not the affiliate. The only time I've heard of an affiliate getting in trouble for this, was an affiliate who I believe was purposefully directing people to abuse a "no deposit" poker bonus en masse. That affiliate was on CPA and reaping the rewards. Operator got upset!

Operators that can't do basic maths do exist though. That's what you have to watch out for.

I beg to differ. Bonus abusers do exist. I've seen people kicked out of poker rooms for said behavior. I've seen players have bonuses removed as well because they were perpetually withdrawing and depositing in order to always have one clearing.

And then, there was that giant website called "BonusWhores dot com" that leads me to believe bonus abuse was, and is, quite a real thing.

I still disagree. You cannot "abuse" a bonus. You can accept whatever is offered, then play and try to win. Advantage players aren't "abusers", they are just smart. If the operator is too lazy or incompetent to either set the wagering restrictions so that the bonus is not in the player's favour to deter advantage players, or they don't have the capability to detect and ban multi-accounters or other fraudsters, then you should refer players elsewhere that can. It is totally within the operator's control.

I still beg to differ. There are people who will create multiple accounts in every family member and friend's name that they know in order to reap a bonus multiple times. Players also exist who will use VPNs, spoof MAC addresses, and photoshop documents in order to take advantage of multiple bonuses. That is the very definition of abuse and whether or not the room catches it doesn't change the fact that the behavior is abusive in nature.

I have to agree with PROFRBcom on this one. Bonuses abusers do exist and could be a pain in the .... for operators.
However, affiliates do not have to worry about that much, it is the operators job to define terms and conditions to protect themselves.
At the end of the day, no one really knows how every single players referred to an casino or poker will behave

Multi-accounting and forging documents is fraud, not "bonus abuse". It is a term that was invented by casinos that don't want to pay winning players, predominantly those that sign up with a single account, follow all the rules, and pick the mathematically best bonuses. Don't fall into the trap of legitimising it.

I am new to gambling and I think Muppet is making a good Point....and as an affiliate I think you don't bare any responsibilities for the players...not a gambling logic but every time there is an accident Driving schools don't take responsibilities, do they?
