Hi everyone,

Just signed up as a new member a few moments ago. I am really happy that I found this place, since there is really lots of information to be found on GPWA. Already learned a few things and made aware certain mistakes people make when starting their affiliate business.

I am currenty in the process of setting up my affiliate business (got domain, building website now). I want to focus on bookmakers and casinos, because those are the two fields I have plenty of experience in. I will provide in-depth betting guides, free sports betting tips, reviews etc. Been active on Twitter for a while now and I have around 2000 followers, which should give me a nice place to start promoting my website etc.

Because I am still in the starting progress I was wondering if anyone can direct me towards affiliate programs (bookmakers or casinos) that are not too harsh on their joining requirements so I can start with the first few affiliate links etc.

I am fully aware that this business is not a get rich quick scheme (anymore). However I am willing to put in plenty of time to make it work, even if it takes several months or over a year to start seeing results. I still work part-time at m y real job and earn more than enough to enjoy life.

This whole affiliate business is a nice side project that might help me reach my dreams earlier and if not .... I can at least say I tried!!!

Some things to take into account as somebody who started a website 5-6 months ago.

1) Of your 2000 followers, 1999 probably have a betting account they use and would not be interested in opening a new account no matter the welcome offer. Those that are attracted by welcome offers would already have taken the plunge elsewhere. I also ranked pretty well in google at one point and got a decent amount of traffic and none signed up... I've actually moved away from the affiliate model....

2) Google is a mess at the moment and is just getting worse. Tips is also a weird place as those best at marketing/SEO with the biggest budget win when their tips are cr*p and that is frustrating. Freesupertips do really well and that's a bunch of marketers who couldn't win a tip to save their lives.

Anyway, i do think it is worth doing if you see it as a bit of fun, something to learn new skills and build your own website.
But sign ups for example is 100x tougher than you'd think and i do think that everybody who wants one, has one.

Things are so pointless i'm even willing to help you compete against me lol. I started with William Hill and i'd recommend that as a good place to start. Paddy Power/Betfair and Bet 365 there is no chance.

English speaking market in general (for now), but I am preparing to focus on the Dutch market when they start giving out licenses starting the 1st of October.

1) Might be right there, but I believe you still can reach plenty of people on social media if you put in the time and effort. Like I said I do not expect it to work today, tomorrow, in three months (or even ever), but I am going to do my best and at least say "hey, I tried my best".

You say you moved away from affiliate model, what is your model or target now then if I may ask?

2) So so so right about FST. Insane what those guys achieve, with absolute garbage they post.
