Starting my own custom affiliate theme which will be for sale

[gox]

Hi guys, anyone interested to buy a custom designed affiliate wordpress theme? Just asking because I am starting to design and develop fully custom affiliate theme.

But before doing so I am curious if anyone is willing to get one? If so then it would be great if you would participate in design process so I fullfil all the needs your affiliate webpage has.

Here just a glimpse:

A very nice start. The widgets/sections look super helpful and it does have an attractive look to it.
I will be keeping an eye on this for sure and be interested in what you would end up charging for it.

The price really depends on how many people would pre-order the template. That's why I would like to gather some feedback from everyone who would purchase the template so it meets all your requirement. If interested to pre-order just send an (PP) Private Message to me and I will start sending you high fidelity designs so we can define final look of the template based on your business needs =)

Right now I am only one working on this, but if enough people would be interested I could hire help and whole topic would be done much faster.

How suitable would your theme potentially be for sportsbook affiliates?

[gox]

My focus would be sports and casino. For sportsbook I will try to come up with some rich content which is usually not served by default on wordpress themes. Really, whole focus would be on sportsbook/gaming and SEO.

Nice beginning.

short note/advice,... design, ux etc, are important, but right now I wouldn't buy the hottest theme if its not get full green lights in google's page speed test AND web core vitals. keep an eye on that.

And if you would like to stand out from all available gambling themes, test it hard. Give the buyer advice, what plugins, cache and/or other page speed stuff helps him with his site he is your theme buying for.

Often, you buy a theme, setup the site, it looks maybe good but from the technical SEO point its ****.

Take care of that and you'll have a strong USP.

Aside from all the excellent input/advice given so far, I'd suggest selling a theme as a 1 year subscription, instead of a once off fee. Why?

• A once off fee means... there is no ongoing incentive to continue to improve theme and/or bug fixes.
• A 1 year subscription means... If you theme is GOOD, people will continue to support it, and your earn ongoing payments.

Way too many WP themes are released as a 1 off fee. The theme gets updated for the 1'st 12 months or so, then nothing. Making it, in most cases, useless, especially when WP updates their core coding or some WP coding becomes obsolete.

P.S. dribbble.com/shots/14796967-Components, is pulling a 404!

AssieDave makes great points there. I also remember some of the themes I bought but never use because they can't serve the purpose I need anymore.

Thanks guys for great point. For me it would be even better if people would subscribe to further development of theme. I was thinking more to develop first the wordpress theme first and later on expand that theme for igaming specific SEO needs. Maybe some documentation how to run igaming affiliate and other useful things.

Regarding the Dribbble link, yeah, I know - removed it on purpose.

However, here are first initial designs how I am thinking the theme should be developed. More stuff to come rather soon. Any feedback is welcome.
