Which one ranks better for the anchor text I will be using to link back to me?

Which one ranks better in the market I am targeting?

Which one has more quality content (notice I stress quality not qantity)?

I would probably want the link from the site with the 100 pages, but answers to a few of my other questions could sway my opinion....

    Sorry inbound links,

Rick - that's too much info, but I like that you are careful in choosing your links as the things you mentioned are very important factors when choosing to attain a link.

But let's say they both rank number 1 for their main keyword and the both domains are a near match to yours and the content is the same quality.

Sorry, but they can NOT both rank #1....

And, an SEO firm can NOT guarantee a page #1 position to 11 clients. (but many do)

PR, indexed pages etc. are both factors search engines will look at when assessing the value of a link but your forgetting the biggest factor of all which actually decides rankings, relevancy.

Assuming a link is great for your site based only on the PR isn't right. I'll always look into the domain relevancy, relevant keyword rank, relevant site content sometimes even the relevance of the domain inbound links if it is expensive.

If they are both highly ranked as you said though and equal in the factors above, hmmmm... probably the PR 5

I couldn't care less about PR - I actually find PR totally irrelevant.

I would choose PR5 of course. 1 link from PR 5 is relevant to thousands links from PR0...

Are you serious? You think 1 PR5 is worth thousands of PR0? How about we make 2 new sites for same niche and 1 site has 1 PR5 link and the other will have thousands of PR0 links and I will tell you now that the one with the PS0's will smash the 1 link in rankings

I wouldn't even bother with PR at all.
