Guys and gals, we all know how stiffly competitive this industry has become. And to warrant the big bucks that come with the role of affiliate manager nowadays, one must be proficient at the following skillsets:

- Provide mundane affiliate management support such as approving new accounts, providing necessary tools ie banners, links, marketing tools while answering queries and emails 24/7, seven days a week, 365 days a year

- Ensure affiliates get paid like clockwork quickly and efficiently monthly while acting as the "enforcer" to collect all overdue commissions from finance department in events of delays

- Serve as trusted accountant

- Serve as marketing consultant/SEO guru

- Regularly provide business advices while spotting new and upcoming industry trends

- Provide rich and relevant content at a moment's notice 24/7

- Serve as technical liaison with strong expertise in HTML, SQL and all programming languages

- Act as host on all industry trade show & events

- Take role as party mate/drink buddy

- Serve as spiritual guide

- Expertise in psychology/human needs and provide moral support when needed

- Serve as relationship/marriage counselor

- Serve as top confidant/close friend during crisis

Considering the 24/7/365, I wouldn't say we are getting big bucks if you break it down hourly.

I'd say there are less than a handful of us who have these skills.

I agree, I don't think there are as many these days. I wish it was the norm tbh. I'd love to be able to work from anywhere I wanted to be that day.
