    Default regulations Netherlands/Germany

    Hello members,

I am curious to know: What we can expect from the regulations in Netherlands/Germany. Do you have any observations and how are you preparing for those?

    feedback welcome

Lets hope its not going to be like in the US, as long as RS models are available for marketing agencies it should be ok i guess. Lets see what others think.

    Hey guys,

As you know we are originally a B2B platform provider and we recently signed an established operator that will be targeting Netherlands in June, 2021 if they hopefully get the license.

From what we hear in the media it seems that the regulator is committed to give priority to the newly established and newly entering operators that have not been targeting the market offshore. The prioprity window might last as long as three years which before the well-known brands that were reaping the benefits of the market with MGA and Cuaracao can apply for license. This will open up a great space for new and exciting brands. Tax will be quite high which is something affliates should consider - 29% on the GGR.

As for Germany as we all know this has been in the space since 2006 and apperantly they managed to regulate the sportsbetting under some form I would say the success is quite doubtful. For online casinos they are planning to impose a max bet per spin and max loss, the same they have in the slot halls, so if this happens, I dont have big hopes that the market holds a great future.

One thing that the German regulator is making right is working quite actively with the payment companies such Skrill, Paysafe, Neteller, Muchbetter and going even further to acquirers and cards schemes like VISA and Mastercard forcing them restrict payments to German players if no EU license.

Something that no other regulator apart from UKGC has done before.
