Default Any benefits of not going direct to a casino affiliate?

Any benefits of using a company such as Online Affiliate World rather than going direct to the casino?

Awful experience with OAW, they removed some players (casino) who were generating regular income after a small negative month and could not even understand why I was pissed. Moved several (poker) accounts from there in the past and noticed immediate improvement in numbers. They send out mails with cheesy linkbait titles that look like they were written by a 15 year old too...

Positive with these outfits is that you consolidate the payments, and maybe get better % than you'd get alone to start off.

    YMMV

There are often more problems by NOT going direct then to use a third party...

When issues arise you can not deal direct with the property or affiliate program to work out the issues and are at the mercy of the third party. If the third party ever has issues with the direct affiliate program, YOU have zero control. If the third party decides to pull the plug on a property, you are left out in the cold and have no control of the decision to stop working with the property.

I go direct, I think it's defeinitely the best option. I don't really see why you wouldn't; more hassle and more chance for things to go wrong.

No personal experience with third party services on my side. Always went directly to particular aff manager, I think it´s the best and safest way.

Check my signature. Af2Af (RevenuLab) - is several times better than Online Affiliate World. RevShare +35% (up to 45%) for 357 brands. Never decreased. Long history on gambling market (+13 years), no minimum payments, you may split your payments (for example: 30% Skrill, 40% Neteller, 30% Wire transfer - as you want). And most important for some countries. You get your payments from non-gambling company.

It could be interesting to consolidate some payments, but that's all. Basically, you give away the control of your affiliate account if you join some kind of a network.

Some also work with sub-affiliate links. That might be interesting if they can offer a great deal, but I must say I do not have that experience. Deals were usually deals that you can negotiate yourself too and they were kind of spammy. I prefer to exchange sub aff links with colleagues.

Let's be honest. We don't have any countrol for our players, and dosn't matter where they are. On our affiliate account or at third party account.

For example, if some affiliate program owner get an idea to shave your or my affiliate account - we, affiliates, have no way to do something. Cases like Leopold vs StarPartner is rare exeption.

But your argument, "all eggs in one basket" - is absolutely right too.

My strategy is. I split all affiliate programs to 2 parts.

1st part- affiliate programs that i trust. For example mainstreetaffiliates e.t.c. With this programs i work directly.

2st part - affiliate programs - that i don't trust. This is big programs that unfriendly to small affiliates like me (for example: "888") or affiliate programs that based in Israel (they like shave small affiliates, but they afraid do the same with big like 3rd party services).

    Example.

MainstreetAffiliatees. They give RevShare 40% to all affiliates, to big, to small e.t.c.. very honest affiliate program, with very good reputation. So, of course i work with them directly.

Another example: "888". They officialy rate for .es regulated brands is:

    0 RevShare 15%
    1-20 RevShare 25%
    21+ RevShare 30%

I am small affiliate. And "888" is not my favorite brand. But when i work via Af2Af i get
35% RevShare without any requrements. So, for this affiliate program third party service is better from my point of view.

We have no control, that's true, but middlemen are extra parties that can also do things that are not necessarily good for you too. It is an extra risk. I must say that I try to evade affiliate programs that I don't trust, like for example 888. This besides the fact that they're involved in some dodgy things.

I have an account with Gambling Affiliation and I must give you reason here. In regulated markets, they have better deals with the "big names" that don't bother about smaller affiliates. Also Ladbrokes for example or Betclic. Besides that, it saves you being annoyed all the time by asking to drive more traffic, put extra banners, give them more stars at the reviews or give them the top exposure. Or just take a CPA-deal that they won't give me directly perhaps. Like Betclic for example now leaving Belgium, a CPA worked out better than for example a revenue share deal.

There are risks no matter what you do. I prefer to work directly with the affiliate programs. Some of the main reasons are:
    * I have never been offered a deal that I can’t negotiate directly with the affiliate program. In fact, I have always received better deals directly and I’m certainly not a big affiliate. It is good to have contact with the affiliate programs directly and it’s also good to negotiate frequently. Being a good negotiator is important if you run your own business.

    * I have more control. If I go through a third party I have zero control of their negotiations with the affiliate program. I have seen that a middle man have ended their partnership with an affiliate program before and the deals were changed for everyone.

    * Going through a third party limits my potential value. If my affiliate account is tagged to a master affiliate, then my affiliate accounts will be less valued if I sell my business. The middle man will still receive their cut, which makes it more difficult to improve the deal for my traffic.

    * It is a big risk to be dependent on one third party. What do you do if you have almost all your deals through a third party and they decide to screw you or if they get financial issues?

I would never use a third party for RevShare-deals. CPA is better, but still not a good option.

I use www.bestwaydeal.com for 2 months now and I am satisfied with them, the payment is delivered on time and the support is good
Although I only offer CPA deals I'm enjoying it because it has a variety of clients and the software is simple and clear
The support informed that soon I will have offers in Revshare so I am waiting ...
If working directly often is not able to take CPA offers then I will continue with them
