New Casino Viability?

Hi All, I've recently been asked to aid, on the technical/marketing side of a new online casino. The site has been up and running for a few months now and there are minimal players for now with zero marketing dollars spent. I attended LAC in February and realized quickly how massive this industry is. I'll admit I'm somewhat new to this world and a little in shock at how large an industry this is. For now the site has a Curacao license but we are looking into updating that to a Gibraltar or UK license soon as we've received feedback that the current license is not highly regarded.

Ultimately I'm looking for a few good men(or women) to help with this endeavor and help validate if this is a viable opportunity. It could be an opportunity for someone with experience to get in from the get go as an equity partner as well.

Any advice on how to attract affiliates/super-affiliates and grow this thing would be greatly appreciated. For those interested the site can be reached at playersbet.com. I'm open to any and all feedback.

Thanks for the reply Triple7 but that's not the case with us or our budget. Being new to the industry the site operators, who are not from a technical background and have ample financial resources when needed, asked me as a more technical contact to visit LAC this past February and report back my thoughts. It became evident to me after attending the show that the most efficient way to see if this project is worth pursuing for them at all would be to earn the trust and recruit elite affiliate marketers and share the gains with them from the get-go as opposed to starting with just throwing money at traffic and SEO for months on end and hoping it sticks. For that reason i'm here looking to see if this is a viable assumption and if so to be the liaison between the operators and would-be affiliates about what their requests would be to work with a startup. Promos, commissions etc are all negotiable at this point. Am I off in my assumptions?

I got here right in front of me the Ask Gamblers advertising rate card. Be a featured casino is € 2.000 per market and for € 1.000 you're a while in the top 5 newest casinos.

That sort of things make more sense than offering high commissions to people that doubt about the ability of having a good conversion, good retention and added value for their visitors.

Good question. From what i know the operators selected this specific White Label after meeting the team behind it and feeling the most comfortable with the offering over other white labels. They felt it would be the quickest path to going live without spending money on a custom platform from inception. They are aware that their Curacao license may be a deterrent but they are in the process of acquiring a different gaming license but the legalities of setting those up take some time.

I'll check it out ... much appreciated.... from your closing comment you imply that affiliates would be hesitant due to conversions, retention and value.... how would a startup appease these concerns ... Is it even realistic to assume we can appease them as a startup?

What about paying larger websites an upfront fee to get listed in their top 3 lists, for example for a month, in addition to the commission they will earn? This might get the ball rolling if conversion rate is OK. And maybe give them the option to chose CPA over Rev Share for that trial period so that they'll earn more during that testing period.

Not just conversion must be ok, also retention and player value in general. And offerst must be costing less than the player value is ofc

Does not really bring trust out also who came out with a name so close to bet365? 2 last digits different.

Sorry not trying to be negative towards you but coming on here and trying to advise with a brand looking to be in financial problems also a post was made at casinomeister asking for an investor is shocking to me. But apart from that it does look nice on your site etc.

Whilst I do agree that it would be a good idea to get a Gaming Consultancy or person to assist with this brand - I don't think it was a bad thing to come to the Affiliate Forum to ask questions, because at the end of the day - They are going to need Affiliates to give them the kind of exposure they need to get their brand out in the market, so if it was me - I would have also come to an Affiliate forum.
