Latest Scam Email, pokerSlistings.com!

Hey guys,

I was half way through my pleasurable Sunday shift in the office when I got another scam email (am I on a top-scam email list??!!). As you can see from the email below, this is from someone pretending to be from the reputable pokerlistings.com, however their email is pokerslistings.com. Be careful!

Subject: German/UK Players

Hi there,

We spoke awhile back about sending your casino players. (not true) Because of recent events in the online poker industry, we have started focusing a lot more on casino players.

We are looking for a few casinos to take our German and UK traffic from pokerlistings.com. For our German traffic, we are looking for casinos that have customer support that speaks German, as this is obviously important when it comes to high retention rates.

Please let me know if you are interested and have the resources to handle this type of player. You can call me anytime, but it would probably be easier to reach me on Skype.

This is why mail server software SHOULD have been designed to not send or relay any email that did not originate at the source of the sender.

Hey Dave, pokerlistings are aware of it, sorry I should have posted here last week as well, but I sent an email out to my AM list and on our page on FB so guessing you aren't on that - below is the message.....

Please beware - The "PokerSlistings" Spammer is up to it again! This time he is using the name "Matt Pearce" in a try to confuse partners making them believe that the correspondence is coming from Matthew Coles at Pokerlistings. Please see an example of the latest spam below.

Please note that authorized communication from Pokerlistings will NEVER come from a "@pokerSlistings.com" address.

If you have been contacted by the spammer or would like to validate an email received, please contact us at "contact@pokerlistings.com".

We are currently taking legal action against this spammer, so we appreciate any information you have to share.

I got the same email yesterday, Dave...

I know that the people at 'Listings are aware of what's going on and are taking steps but I forwarded the mail to them with an FYI just to be sure
