So this happened in China:
An iPhone 4s was stolen from a man in China. A few days after sending a threatening SMS to his old phone, he got his SIM card by mail, as well as eleven hand-written sheets filled with his all his phone book.

I think that's pretty awesome, as contact information is the only truly valuable thing on a phone...
