beer is awesome cheap in barcelona

I thought I'd do a beers and work thing tonight.

So I walked outside my hotel and down to the local shop to buy some beer, which sells a lot of things (on my way out I got a super long freshly made cheap bacon and fromage roll from the diner.. its awesome)

I got 12 San Miguel, 250ml each for a total of.. $6.50 USD.

Because my hotel fridge is too small, i did 7 trips to the ice machine and filled up th 2nd hand basin as my beer holder spot thing to chill the beers.

12x250ml San Miguel .. $6.50.

the hotel wants $5.60 for 1 beer!

Hmmm may be cheap in the shops but I have different experiences in the bars.

I went to Barca last year and upon arriving we went straight to a bar in the centre, I offered to get a round for all 6 of us and then discovered it was 11 EURO A BEER! We left...

11 euro a beer.. geeezzzzz.. you could get a meal and 2 beers for that outside of the bar!
I'm going to have to ask how much drinks are instead of just handing over the credit card.

I really miss living in Barcelona for its cheap beer. Not just that it's cheap, but you've got people selling it on the beach, the streets it's just hard to say no to especially in the summer when it's all so bloody hot and you have this guy walking over to you and putting out a super ice cold beer right out to your face. Ohhhhh you can't say no to that, can you. And i never paid more that a euro fifty for a can. What a sweet deal

i think a beer for 5-7 $, it`s really not cheap. If you want to buy a beer for 2 $ make a trip in romania
