Evade what terms and policies? Google allow gambling ads
This old chessnut, eh.
You can advertise on adwords in territories where online gambling is regulated (eg: the UK) but you must first obtain an aggregator license by filling in this form: https://support.google.com/adwords/t...?hl=en-GB&rd=1 - ensure you select 'aggregator' in the drop down at the bottom of the second page.
To be approved your site must comply with the regulations of the territory(s) that you want to advertise in. So for the UK (as an example) you must comply with the Gambling Commission and ASA regulations (eg: 18+, Gamcare links etc..).
For territories in which online gambling is not regulated you cannot advertise using adwords. There is no way around this as the keywords you would want to bid on (eg: online casinos) will be restricted.
Finally, gambling PPC is expensive (but still profitable) so make sure you have a decent budget, set up your campaigns correctly and optimise/split test everything (landing pages, adverts etc..). Oh and it's a good idea to use separate tracking links on your PPC landing pages so you can evaluate the profitability of your campaigns.
Good luck, and no bidding on the keywords I target!![]()

Baldidiot is spot on. You will get the license in a matter of days. I am planning adwords next week, I got the licence with no problems.

Days? More like hours and that's what impressed me. If you were to look for a Google response on an issue, can take forever, but when it comes down to taking money, they are pretty quick.
Some of the landing pages you supply might not be approved. They have pretty strict policies about that. Also from operator point of view, you are not allowed to bid on brand keywords(although adword will allow it? never tried it don't know), or you are gonna break the ToS and get your affiliate account closed.
You are absolutely right, they respond immediately, not like they responding if you have penguin penalty![]()
@xecutable yea, I heard it can take hours or even less. For me it was days, it was a license for Romania (even though I have english content), and Romania also has funny regulations ... so I guessed that is the longest it can take.
Otherwise yea, it`s more profitable to drop a website than wait response from google on an issue![]()

How do you think, can I use adwords for promotion link market of gambling links www.gambling-link-ads.com?
My blog www.gambling-link-ads.com/blog
Gambling Link Ads. More information www.gambling-link-ads.com
As i know first of all if you will create a google adword account then will ask for website that for which website you want to take ads code. Then he approve and after approve you can place order. And in other way if you have approved adword account then you can create channel for any other theme site. Because then after if any problem then google will attack on that channel and remind you about that. You can ask also to support about any theme any time that can you use google adword for this theme or not.
Just use different tracking links - ideally a different landing page and set of links for each ad group you run.
You should be using custom pages anyway - if you're bidding on a roulette term, don't just send them through to your home page. And not just a roulette page either - make what the user see's when they hit your site match the term they've come in through. So if it's a term about roulette bonuses, you want that page to be specifically about roulette bonuses. Anything else will kill your conversion rate and thus your ROI.

thanks. I'm in the usa so I can't run any gambling ads but do run them for one of my retail sites.
I was just wondering if your ad landed them to some non-indexed page suchas the roulette page for example and had the affiliate links on the roulette set up with sub-campaigns, then you could get pretty accurate figures. You'd still have to look at the affiliate back end for players that signed up via the sub-campaign.
I've been looking in to Google Universal Analytics, specifically the Measurement Protocol to better track my Paypal conversions, the problem with PayPal is after payment, some customers are automatically returned to the thank you page (where the conversion code is) while others are presented with a return to merchant link (aka the thank you page), so if they do not specifically click it the conversion is not registered.
Yeah that's exactly what I do - as far as I know there's no real other way to do it for the gambling stuff. I don't do any non-aff stuff though so don't have any experience with paypal tracking I'm afraid.
Do you know why there's a difference in way the customer is handled after payment? Seems a bit weird.

Well with Google Checkout about to disappear PayPal is still one of the best ways to go without coding a gateway and merch account.

I haven't research Braintree much, but it is one of the other suggested solutions for those needin a payment gateway.

Sorry about the slight derail but wanted to drop that in there in case anyone didn't know.

thanks Rick, I didn't know Google Checkout was out but now that you mentioned it I ran across an article today in my web searches about how they bombed compared to paypal and amazon payments. I did look into Google Checkout at one time as a second payment option for those that hate paypal but figured it would just confuse the customer.
I agree overall paypal is still the best.
Hello,
I am trying to advertise gambling affilaite portals but I find it very difficult to track my conversions. I want to know the exact keyword that converted and the comission I got. Can you recommend a tool that is suitable to track my conversions and later I guess import the offline conversions in Google AdWords.
You can generate the data you're talking about on certain programs, provided that they allow you to add a payload to the affiliate link. I know IA programs can do this using the AID parameter, but I have no idea about other programs as I haven't looked into it in too much detail.
Then tell adwords to add the keyword as a parameter to the landing page of your site (eg: ?kw=thekeyword - although I can't remember the exact syntax). See: https://support.google.com/adwords/a...76199?ctx=tltp
You'll then need your site to grab the parameter from the url and add it to the aff links on the fly.
So:
1. User searches for 'keyword'
2. User clicks your add and lands on your sites, with the added parameter: yoursite.com/landingpage.html?kw=keyword
3. Add parameter to the affiliate links: theaffiliatesite.com/processing/clickthrgh.asp?btag=a_xxxb_xxx&aid=keyword
4. If the user clicks the link it should show up on the aff tracking
As far as I know there's no software that will do this for you, you'll need to custom code it.
Also small caveat that I've never actually done it this way as I feel that group tracking is sufficient (ie: one tracking profile per landing page), provided your landing pages are suitably specific. The theory should work.

Good quick guide baldidiot.
You can use Google analytics and provide Google with any information they don't already have....like data from other engines....
Also server logs capture a certain amount of the keyword portion of the landing, depending on how the visitor arrives, but that requires server log stats, such as smarter stats from smarter tools, (this is certainly NOT a free option and some will get some sticker shock)
